Shanti Old Town — Restaurant in Krabi Province

Fantastic meal at Shanti Old Town. I had the pasta salad and the meal was delicious, in a large serving with plenty of parmesan cheese. The staff was attentive and I stayed awhile to read and finally acquiesced to ice cream. Lovely place to enjoy a fresh light meal in Old Town.

Edit (8 months later when I came back to Lanta!) Shanti Old Town is one of my favourite restaurants on Koh Lanta, if not generally. It's never just one thing:, it's the ambiance, staff, the food, the decor, the view. I love staying in Old Town and Shanti is a big reason for that.

Of course, the ice cream is fantastic but it's the cocktails and daily, usually and hopefully pasta, dishes that always catch my attention and kept me coming back. The Shanti Garden cocktail is a must.

Fe Fe sources the ingredients locally and turns them in the most inventive dishes, with Italian and French inspiration. Both he and Colleen are so sweet and welcoming. I can't say enough good things. I can't wait until my next trip to Koh Lanta so I can eat and drink...

I've lived in Thailand almost 8 years and this is one of my all time top experiences. I brought my gf and parents to eat breakfast at Shanti on the west side of lanta. The owner mentioned his brother had a restaurant and ice cream shop on the east side.

His brother was just as warm as he was and even then some. I asked him if he could make some food he said yes we have a small menu and I asked him to cook whatever he wanted or had for 4. It was exquisitely prepared Italian fair as he is french with Italian ancestry. He also make home made ice cream to which he is famous for.

Cannot recommend enough. My parents both over 70 and wordly traveled were blown away . Cheers...

Stopped by this place late tonight. Absolutely loved the vibe, it’s a restaurant, bar, ice cream place chill out and concept store. A place of pure indulgence. Impossible to not feel at peace here.

Solid Cuba libre and the ice cream was excellent. As they only had cinnamon left, I went for it regardless as it usually wouldn’t be my choice. Delicious! It is not cheap but you pay for what you get. Please make some more before we leave as we would love to try more flavours.
