The Beach Seafood&Grill — Restaurant in Krabi Province

My partner and I went to the restaurant based on the recently posted reviews, which were all 4-5 stars.

Overwhelmed by the choices, we chose the 2 handpicked 3-course menus so we could try as many dishes as possible.

The starters were grilled chicken salad and butternut squash soup. The salad was exceptionally delicious, the chicken had a great texture, but the temperature and taste was off. The soup was passable.

The mains were grilled tuna and caramelised pork tenderloin. The grilled tuna was dry, hard and tough. It's like one of those fried fishes you'd recook the next day. Seriously though, I never knew you could mess up a tuna that badly.

The grilled aubergine and the dipping on which the tuna was sitting (aioli-like) was very delicious, although I found an insect mixed in it. Told a waitress and saw her tell another waitress but both didn't bother to do anything about it. I wish someone would care and come check on us.

The caramelised pork was far from tender. It tasted okay, but you need to chew harder than you're used to. And then some more. The most enjoyable part was probably the sweet potato on the side.

Desserts were good but not special either. Coconut crème brûlée and white chocolate mousse.

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm not at all a picky eater and will eat anything. This is up until now the worst dinner we've had during our 2.5-week holiday in Thailand, and is also the most expensive one considering the amount of food we actually enjoyed.

Racist staff to asians with a very unpleasant service. We ordered 3 dishes which was steam fish, pineapple fried rice and also morning glory. At first the atmosphere was very calm and we enjoyed the view, however after taking some pictures and checking the time, we haven’t got a single food after 45minutes passed so we asked the staff. The staff assured us seafood might take up some time and will get back after they re-check our order. After 5minute they came back and said we did not wait 45minutes but waited 38minute. Does that really matter? I think they should be apologizing first instead of correcting us we waited 38 minutes. Also, the food that we ordered went to the other table at the back of us. The people who came after us by more than 20minutes already had their meal and left the restaurant. I really don’t think the restaurant is worth the money.
