I visited this restaurant on 24th December 2022. I have to start with the fact that location and ambience was good. But everything else went absolutely horrible for us.
We ordered fried beef, chicken curry and rice. Avoided seafood as my wife was allergic. We showed them on the menu each item we ordered and checked with them.
They served us shrimp cake instead of fried beef. Didn't tell us anything. Just changed the dish and kept it in front of us. Both being fried, even we didn't get to know just by looking.
After eating, my wife had a severe allergic reaction and had to be rushed to the hospital where I ended up spending the rest of the evening and 10k Baht. Not to mention the toll it took on her to recover from that.
But the worst of it was, when we asked them why they served us the beef cake, the waiter just smiled and said "oh okay". I told me him my wife was allergic and was puking in the washroom and he just left and went to talk to his buddies and came with the bill few minutes later.
These guys didn't offer anything. I asked them where was the nearest pharmacy nearby. They just told me the direction it was in and no offer of any help. I ran in that direction but unfortunately that pharmacy was closed.
Rushed back told them it was closed and if there was anything else nearby, which they said wasn't. And I asked them if they can get a medicine from a pharmacy which was a bit far since they had transport and I didn't, they said no.
Finally when I got a taxi and was rushing out of the restaurant, the waiter who took the order was standing at the exit gate, smiled and mumbled sorry in the lowest volume.
I can understand one can make a mistake. But to behave like that is completely unacceptable.
Please do not visit this place as you never know what you light be served and the staff will definitely not help you in any way.
Wish I had read reviews of this place before going coz it looks like almost everyone has had a bad...
Read moreMy companion spent an hour or so shopping in the tourist trap stores on the Ao Nang beach road and it was time for lunch so we picked this restaurant at random. Our next-door neighbours at our villa just happened to be having lunch there at the same time. Complete fluke so we joined them and it was neat to have a Thai person help us with dishes and the ordering. I had the vegetarian green curry with tofu. Different style from other green curries in other restaurants, more coconut milk and no eggplant or Prik Thai (green peppercorn). Different and delicious. My companion had the Vegetarian Massaman curry and was very pleased with it. Our friends have been coming to this restaurant for several years and that says it all. They recommend the lemon drink, a lemonade with shaved ice. We tried it and if you don't want an alcoholic drink, delicious.
Wonderful view, right on the beach, some of the restaurant has solid floors but we were in the patio area with soft beach sand for a floor. The staff were great, definitely recommend this restaurant.
For a Thai restaurant, it...
Read moreNang An Seafood Restaurant is a nice spot for seafood in Ao Nang, offering beautiful ocean views and a relaxing atmosphere. The setting is peaceful, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with a scenic backdrop.
We ordered stir-fried crab meat with black pepper and fried fish with garlic—both dishes were decent, flavorful, and fresh. The portions were reasonable, and the seafood quality was good. While it may not be the absolute best seafood restaurant in Krabi, it delivers a satisfying dining experience.
The service was friendly, and the menu had a wide variety of seafood choices. Prices are fair for the location, though there are other spots in Ao Nang with slightly better value.
Overall, Nang An Seafood Restaurant is a solid choice for fresh seafood in Ao Nang, especially if you're looking for a nice setting with a view. Would recommend it for a casual seafood...
