I do not recommend this place. First we waited for an hour for our food to come (a spicy soup and a pad thai). When we noticed it has been about 30 minutes of waiting, we were still nice enough to stay because we noticed there were only one person works there which we assumed the owner (a middle age woman) so that explain the waiting. Second, instead of preparing our food, she went around the table cleaning while there were no new customer in, playing with her nephew who was taken care of one young girl i assume her daughter. Third, there were other customer who arrived after us get their meal first rather than us. (Where the hell is our food right). So fourth, my friend went to her and asked for our food and she asked ‘what’ and she said is preparing, but we havent seen the cooking start just yet except maybe the soup is boiling. We waited, fifth- when our soup was delivered, I gently reminded her about we have another order which was pad thai, because when my friend asked for our food earlier she seemed to forget, and this woman literally shouted at us saying ‘Yes, I cook now!’ I should have listened to my friend when he suggested us to go to another place earlier when it took about 15 mins to deliver our lime ginger tea. Listen to other reviews about this place about the not so friendly owner. Food i’d say it’s alright. I dislike the sweet pad thai, soup is nice and hot but the vegetable seems raw especially the long green beans. I will never...
Read moreI came here on two occasions for dinner. Once a table for 7 people and once for take out.
My first time I ordered a Pad Thai and a fruit platter and both were of decent size, the Pad Thai was one of the nicer ones I've had so far and the fruit platter had 5/7 different types of fruit on there.
The second time I ordered a tom ka kai to go with white rice on the side and they provided me with everything I needed upon asking. The tom ka kai was the first one in Thailand that I actually/finally got with chilli's. The flavour of the actual soup was of regular quality and the amount of ingredients like chicken and vegetables was a little less in comparison to other restaurants.
Overall the food has been good for me! My friend got food poisoning a few hours after eating here. Yet, he ordered a different dish and I had no issues after both occasions.
The service on the other hand needs improvement. The lady that takes the orders needs some fine tuning in soft skills and general waitressing. She also makes the smoothies and doesn't believe in cross contamination of fruits or ingredients. If you can't eat/drink a certain time of fruit, best not to order your fruitfix here since they don't clean the blender in between uses.
To add to that: I recommend ordering Thai dishes here and not Western dishes. They will and shall visibly judge you...
Read moreAfter walking past loads of over priced western restaurants this family run Thai place looks ideal. Unfortunately it lacks the love that you’d expect, with lacking service, sloppy food and an uncomfortable atmosphere. Didn’t feel welcome here as there was no greeting, no music and felt like we had interrupted the laundry business on the side. Seats are too big and heavy making it difficult to get in and out. Both stir fry and sandwich had an unhealthy covering of black pepper ruining the flavour.
Admittedly the drinks were pretty good if you’re thirsty. I’d actually recommend they change to a cafe and laundry rather than restaurant and laundry as they’re clearly overwhelmed.
Food is cheap and quick so if you don’t care for your insides then give it a go.
Personally I wish I’d skipped it and just waited for the...
