Well a little correction was necessary. I took 1star away having had a very depressing Hawaii Pizza experience.. What to say to the Chef other then : Try what you prepare, take a spoon and go for it, taste, add,, sweeten, then retaste if not sure. Do whatever is NEEDED but don't be shy! Assl guess another of these chefs who never ate anything not Thai
Well the tasting helps taking-the right descisions..it's not a big cooking secret! It prevents ruining a pizza reputation, prevents to throw half a bottle of dry Herbes de Provence on the Hawai..just for fun or what for?? To scam good customer using 2 ini mini bitchi ridiculously small Pineapple bits to safe 100thb. The pastery still raw... Then charge 600thb to take away.. All nicely packed and given with a smile..hmmm!
All very sad and...
Read moreThe place looks nice and comfy and the drinks are good, BUT we had a very unpleasant situation there. We ordered the eggs Benedict and when the dish came one bite of it was enough to tell it was not good. The egg was totally overcooked (unlike you would expect in eggs Benedict), the hollandaise sauce was too thick and heavy and didn’t taste good. Other than the small salad on side which was good and the mushrooms that were ok, the dish was pretty bad. So far not that serious. However, we asked to change it with something else because we couldn’t really eat it and the waiter said it is not possible since we ate half of it. It was literally a bite! After showing the waiter that everything is there and after he went 2 times to speak to the manager, the manager came himself and immediately took the plate and asked for a new order and was very kind after this weird situation. But then he went away and then drama began: The lady at the bar yelled at us that it is better that we won’t order anything and just go and not come back. She literally banished us for complaining about the food. She was totally rude and spoke to us in a disrespectful way as if we tried to get a free dish even though I took only the first bite and not more. I don’t know how is the rest of the food there but according to this experience, and especially the rudeness of that woman, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to sit there. P.S: when we saw the manager again we told him what happened and he said that he understands and apologized for the situation so I guess it’s we’re not the first to...
Read moreUnprofessional manager! My wife and I came in for a drink tonight to enjoy the live music after spending some time walking the night market. Shortly after we sat down and ordered our drinks, we noticed 4 little kids (under 7-8 years) running through the restaurant/bar. It concerned us because they were screaming as they ran through the place over and over. On a number of occasions, more than one kid came dangerously close to a fire pit on the patio! We noticed one of the servers shaking her head as the kids ran by... So it was obviously distracting for servers too. We brought it to the attention of the manager behind the bar. We said that having screaming kids running through the restaurant while guests are there to enjoy a nice evening is unacceptable and dangerous.
We were SHOCKED to hear the manager say this to us. "Even if it's not okay with you, it's okay with me."
Wait, what???
Okay so, as manager you're willing to risk a child tripping into a fire pit on the patio... Not to mention disturbing all of the other guests in the restaurant... Instead of just being a RESPONSIBLE MANAGER and asking the parents of the kids to stop running???
We were willing to spend the rest of the evening drinking and enjoying. Instead we settled our bill and left after one drink.
There's lots of other bars/restaurants in Pai. No need to support a business run by an unprofessional...
