UPDATE: so after my first really good experience, I went back and ordered two more hummus. They asked me if they could put it in the same container, and stupidly I said yes. When I took the order, I realized there was no pita bread. I mentioned why that is and she said it was because I didn’t ask for it. Now to be fair it’s not really a normal thing to get something like hummus without the pita bread since they go hand-in-hand. So I understand they’re being two separate options on the menu, but I think it’s something that should be asked and confirmed prior to. Anyways, after that, she tried to charge me for the bread because there was a price difference, but she didn’t charge me just the difference. She charged me as if I was just buying bread. After some back-and-forth, she finally just had me to pay the difference.
No, once I got home, I was yet again disappointed for two reasons one I didn’t seem like there was a double portion in that box to the pita bread was literally regular. It wasn’t crunchy like last time and they only gave me one piece of bread, which is another thing that should have been addressed.
So at this point, I’m not sure if I go back and order homeless and pita what kind of pita I’m gonna get. but either way I don’t know if I’ll be back because I feel like they played me.
OLD REVIEW:
So I went in specifically to try the hummus. I am Middle Eastern so I know exactly how it’s supposed to taste and I wanted to see how close they could get out here.
Now for starters, this isn’t a real authentic Middle Eastern hummus, however that doesn’t mean it wasn’t good. It’s fine tuned in a different way, but with the olive oil and the crispy pita...
Read moreOverrated. I had the famous Buddha bowl and it was OK, it lacked freshness or something else for balance (too many beans for such a dense hummus). For dessert I had the raw brownie, it was nice but sooo tiny, definitely not worth 75Baht. Most of the rating however is for the owner. I plugged my laptop on a plug, they were all covered with a sticker that had Ganita’s logo and I thought it was decorative/to cover the ugliness of a plug (I now realize it was a stupid thought but it would never cross my mind that they wouldn’t want people to use the plugs, specially in an establishment like that one). Note: the waitress saw it and said nothing. The owner walked in, saw it, made a shocked look, asked loudly if I hadn’t seen the stickers, I apologized, he said something like “you’re sorry?!”, called me rude, and said it was time for me to leave. I was completely caught out off guard. After he went behind the counter he turned to me again, while I was packing, to ask if I had asked for permission, and then continued rambling how rude I was. He finished by saying I was destroying his property. I had never been treated like this in Thailand and of course the first time had to be by a foreigner. Under no circumstances I will come back to this place. What a...
Read moreThe dining experience was truly delightful, with each dish carefully prepared and beautifully presented. The attention to detail in the plating was exceptional, showcasing a refined and elegant aesthetic that elevated the meal. The ingredients were undeniably fresh and of high quality, which was evident in the vibrant flavors and textures of every bite.
While the prices were slightly on the higher side, the premium quality of the products and the overall dining experience made it worthwhile. That said, a slightly more affordable price point could make this remarkable experience accessible to an even broader audience.
Overall, it’s a place where artistry meets taste, and it’s clear that both the kitchen and the staff are dedicated to excellence. Highly recommended for those seeking a sophisticated and...
