Huge portions and very good vegan food
We came here on our first morning to Pai. We arrived at 9:30 on the bus and a search on Happy cow revealed 2 open vegan/vege places, art in chai a vege and a Jay vegan place. We decided to go to art in chai ad it was nearer and had fruit smoothies and healthy breakfast options.
However when we arrived the staff at art in chai said they wouldn't open until 3pm and suggested Om Garden nearby... and it was a lucky strike because the food here is amazing!
Normally we would only go to strictly vegan or vege places and only go to carnivorous places as a last resort or if they had particularly amazing reviews for their food or style. So it's doubtful we would have tried this place during our visit to Pai.
We had pumpkin, coconut and lemongrass soup which was so good, so tasty, thick and creamy. An aubergine and tomatoe tapenade sandwich which was very tasty and huge! A bit on the oily side bit still very nice. My wife had grilled vegetables, couscous and harissa which was also lovely. The cafe itself is surrounded by jungle and garden, it's a very cool spot and I'm glad...

Full of granola parents with screaming children that refuse to actually parent them and just let them scream and cry for your entire meal and ruin the environment. The brealfast food was a bit overpriced for what you get. French toast was 90% egg. Yogurt was lumpy and tasted like sour cream. Breakfast burger was bland with way too many onions. The bun was good and the potatoes served with it were good as well. The thai tea with lime was good after we added an insane amount of sugar. I guess this is the one okay vegetarian restaurant around? But with the mediocre food and the screaming children we experienced, we definitely...
Read moreHidden away little cafe / restaurant with really nice chilled vibe. Outdoors with lots of plants - was so nice on a rainy day as it was all undercover!
The food was absolutely brilliant - I ordered the harissa wrap and didn't expect such a big portion to arrive at just 120 baht. My boyfriend ordered the cauliflower burger which is around a similar price and it was HUGE.
So tasty and bang for your buck! Would defo recommend coming with a book as it is the type of place you'll want to lounge around in for a couple of hours. Staff super friendly and food came sooo quickly.
Also highly recommend the smoothies/lassies - coconut and banana.. thank me later
Opens 8:30 and closes at 17:00 - last...
