I typically avoid buzzy places but Art in Chai has the cult following it deserves. Even with the steady stream of locals, as a visitor, I always felt like I was being remembered. This authenticity is what won me over, but I guess that's just the Pai way. Beyond this, the name says it all! The owner’s lovely artwork is thoughtfully placed throughout—He even crafted a special piece for a yoga event (which, by the way, happens every morning except Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. for 250 baht, with mats provided). And if you're into open mic nights, Thursday is the day – just make sure to grab your spot early cuz the space is small. The best thing is the Chai, so don't forget about it! It’s the main reason why this place became my favorite spot to work during the week, combined with the great wifi and the owner, who is a zen yet humble human. Prices are very reasonable !

Eclectic decor and cozy nooks give this cafe warmth and atmosphere. We had the vegan chickpea burger, which was pleasant but uninspired, and a local kombucha, which was delicious. The food is all veg/vegan. I'm giving a 4 star rating despite the less than outstanding food because hot drinks - particularly chai - are obviously the main drawcard, not meals, and because the place is so obviously infused with soul. I'd definitely return for a chai and spoken word evening.

A magical place! The guy who owns it is a true artist (chiefly a painter) taking inspiration in the design from places such as Tibet, Nepal and India. It looks even more stunning at night with all the lights on. They specialise in Chai tea so you have to try one! One of the best I've ever had. The porridge for breakfast was a really tasty and kept me full for hours! We also had delicious iced teas to cool us down one evening.

Warm & Inviting Atmosphere: Art and Chai in Pai radiates a cozy, artistic vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. The mix of soft lighting, colorful décor, and creative details sets a tranquil yet inspiring tone.

Exceptional Coffee & Chai: The drinks are outstanding—smooth coffee, perfectly spiced chai, and unique specialty teas that stand out from other cafĂ©s in Pai. Every sip feels crafted with care.

Delicious Food Options: Fresh, flavorful dishes with plenty of vegetarian and vegan choices. The portions are generous, and the presentation is as beautiful as the taste.

Artistic Surroundings: Local artwork decorates the space, giving the cafĂ© a gallery-like feel. It’s easy to lose track of time while admiring the creativity on display.

Friendly & Passionate Staff: The team here is genuinely warm and attentive. They’re happy to chat, recommend menu items, or share a bit about the local art scene.

Live Music & Events: Art and Chai regularly hosts live performances and creative gatherings, making it more than just a café—it’s a hub for Pai’s artistic community.

Great for All Moods: Whether you’re looking to work on your laptop, meet friends, or unwind with a book, the layout offers both lively spaces and quiet corners.

One of PAI's classic and best known alternative place to gather in the afternoon for a Thai Tea with Carrot cake, while sneaking through their collection of exotic, occult, meditationa cookingl & travel books. The place runs also a little gift shop with handcrafted objects like clothing jewels..and other stuff.

On some inspired evenings you might hear people reading books or playing music with various more Asian or middle East instrument.

Art in Chai is also a good vegetarian restaurant using seasonal fresh products for all kind of plates, salads, soups and many other choices

During long rain season afternoons, one particular activity is to just sit outside on the covered terrace extension, sipping some Thai tea or coffee and watching the locals trying to find shelter from the pourring rain as it creates little rivers of water washing everything that floats away.. Kind of Romantic.. and I Love it

And indeed every little service that can be valued will eventually end up being added to someone's bill ..even if as futile as the charging of a mobile. 8- Which service is by the way indicated on the...
