Not really sure how I feel about this place after visiting and now reading all the reviews. I read the 5 star reviews before going and decided to give it a try during my trip here since I love animals, especially dogs. My hotel concierge was nice enough to call the cafe for us around 3pm and got us a booking for 5pm.

When we got there, we chose option A, which lets you access basically every room with a door. It was 450THB per person and included a free drink, socks (that people threw away at the end since it catches fur and probably urine/cleaning solution), and a cookie. The main room was full of corgis, all pretty calm and sweet. The second main room was full of long-haired chihuahuas and cats, and one small poodle mix that seemed to belong to one of the owners. As soon as we sat down with other people on the floor, the chihuahuas came to sit on our laps and immediately went to sleep. It was really cute and sweet at first, but now it makes me wonder if they were on sedatives or just really tired from interacting with people all day. There weren't any toys for them to play with or chew on, which I wish they did. There was one hairless dog breed that kept coming to my lap... I imagine she/he doesn't get very much love since she is hairless or not as "cute". Please give her love if you end up seeing her!

I also went into the fox and raccoon rooms. There were 4 foxes sleeping and the worker woke one up to let me take a picture holding it. There was one fox on the floor frantically pacing back and forth in front of the window. It probably wants to be let out so bad. I wonder if it ever gets to go out?? I really hope it does, otherwise that is horrible abuse.

There was just one raccoon and I agree with the other reviews, it was super big and fat compared to wild raccoons. The workers were letting two specific corgis into the room to play and they were just playing a little rough but accidentally bumped into the raccoon. The raccoon growled pretty strongly. I could tell the other people in the room suddenly got scared. I got scared too and left the room back to the dogs.

Overall at first I was really excited to come here, but after seeing the wild animals in those small rooms, I feel sad and really hope they get to go outside often. That information isn't given as far as I know.

Cute concept, but a harsh reality for animals that should be free in the wild. (unless this cafe is part of some sanctuary foundation, but I...

I realize in some places and countries in the world, this type of pet cafe is controversial for animal rights activists and based on the previous reviews, some people may be opposed to this type of business. I understand the concerns there. But these places are considered acceptable in this area. There were pros and cons as there are with any place like this.

For 390 baht you get an hour with the animals, you reserve your spot in selected hour blocks, 12:30-1:30, 2-3, etc a souvenir (stuffed animal) and a free drink, and socks to wear inside the area. There are a lot of corgis and other puppies, a fox, a raccoon, cats, hairless cats and other dogs. No birds or reptiles, one wallaby and a meerkat. The wallaby was isolated and we were not allowed to pet her or interact with her. The animals appear mostly well cared for by the staff and were fed and treated well when I was there. The staff also kept a close watch to make sure the animals were also treated respectfully by the guests. They’re all very friendly. It is a clean facility, any accidents on the floor are cleaned up immediately. There are puppies, so that is bound to happen.

Understandably, some of them did not like to be held, it can be a lot for animals, I feel like some of them, like the fox, needed space because they were nervous around people. The staff was mostly good about limiting interactions with the animals that were people shy. But I also feel like it was unfortunate to force them to interact with humans at all if they didn’t want to.

The raccoon who is nocturnal just wanted to sleep, so I felt a bit bad for her being woken up to be petted. This is why the raccoon is noted by some other guests as being unfriendly, because she’s bothered by people all day. She was friendly but a tad grumpy because woken up, naturally. I feel like the staff could let her sleep during the day and have appointments later in the day (afternoon/ evening) when she naturally wakes up. That was my...

Second time to Little Zoo Cafe and so glad I came, new location at On Nut Community Mall is much more spacious with transparent doors and windows 😍 Happy I got to hug raccoon, meerkat and fennec fox this round hehe bucketlist checked.

Reservation is required and there are 5 different timeslots, I used Facebook Messenger to book my slot with translation.

Since I visited 3 years ago and coming back now, I saw that the living conditions and treatment really improved over the years. I saw some bad reviews here but i would say the animals are well taken care of and clean environment!! The staff are always cleaning after them and I did not smell anything strong, the floor is clean and the mop is always around if some animals urinate.

In response to some bad reviews below me, the wallaby and artic fox are now in isolation for their shedding fur and physical condition. No photo taking or interaction is allowed for these two animals. As I took some pet grooming lessons and so with my mediocre skills inspected the dogs' toenails and pawpads and they are really groomed regularly 💯

Maybe they changed staff but I did not see any physical abuse or hitting animals during my visit. In fact the staff are so nice and friendly, helped to take some photos for me. i think they love animals as much as I do!

Yes the place is not big for so many animals to stay together but most of the time they are out roaming before they go back to their cage at night. Animals have to take photos with visitors as part of their "job" to work for their food but I think they would feel happy to see visitors coming to pet and love them too!

390 baht with a pair of socks, one takeaway drink and souvenir plushie is well spent. 🦝 would come here everytime I...

A big disappointment – I regret visiting The concept of Little Zoo Coffee might seem cute at first, and the animals themselves are indeed lovely – but unfortunately, the overall experience was quite upsetting. While the idea of interacting closely with different animals sounds exciting, the execution raises serious concerns. From the moment we walked in, there was a strong, unpleasant smell that stayed with us the entire time. Cleanliness was questionable: animal urine was wiped up with a single mop, which was then simply left leaning against the wall – right next to the animals and guests. This isn’t just unhygienic; it’s also troubling from an animal welfare perspective. The space is small, poorly ventilated, and several animals were kept in very tight enclosures. The foxes, for example, were confined behind a glass wall, clearly frightened of people and without anywhere to retreat. The small monkey was visibly stressed, pacing back and forth in its enclosure non-stop – it was obvious it wanted to escape. The raccoon was so overweight it could barely move, which raised serious concerns about its health and care. Some of the animals looked exhausted or apathetic, and it was heartbreaking to see. While some visitors may see these animals as “entertainment,” I found it distressing to witness them in such conditions. Sadly, the staff were not particularly friendly or helpful either, which only added to the discomfort. I truly regret visiting this place. I hope that in the future, conditions will improve – not only for the visitors’ experience, but most importantly, for the wellbeing of the animals. As it stands now, this is not a place I could recommend to anyone who truly cares about animals.

2.5/5 PRO: The cats and dogs were so adorable. Most of them were friendly and wanted/did not mind human interaction. We were mindful to not disturb the sleeping ones and obviously the ones that did not want any attention. Most of the staff was super friendly and conversational in English, so do not fret fellow tourist. The drinks were fine, nothing amazing and not bad. But no one is really here for that. It was 390 for adults 290 for kids and you get a pair of thin ankle socks for wearing inside the cafe and a little beanie baby on your way out, so not a bad price overall. CONS: I am no activist but it was disheartening to see the treatment of some of the animals. They had a small kangaroo that’s was physical hurt trapped in one of the rooms and still let people in to pet it. The small kangaroo has massive cuts/bedsores on its tail in multiple places and it was held in a room with 2 other foxes. My suggestion would be to close that room off for now and isolate the kangaroo. Let the kangaroo take a break. There was also a worker with short hair and on the day I went she was wearing a jean apron that said PURE, and I saw her on multiple occasions physically forced closed the mouth of the meerkat because it was crying. Like bro, he’s supposed to be a wild animal. We trapped him in a room with 40 peoples, what did you expect. The meerkat wasn’t doing anything just making some small noises. I felt really bad and my husband offered to hold it in her place because of her treatment and the meerkat stopped “crying” after a few minutes and was super sweet. Overall, I would not come back. I wish it was a cafe for only dogs and the cat. I would feel better morally.
