Desi By Nature | Indian Restaurant Phuket — Restaurant in Patong

We recently visited Desi by Nature on Prachanukroh Road in Phuket with our family, including an infant and four kids. We opted for the buffet, expecting a fresh and authentic Indian meal experience. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed.

The buffet food clearly seemed to have been prepared for the lunch service and simply reheated or left out till dinner. Most dishes lacked freshness — the curries tasted stale, and the naan and rice were dry and overcooked. For a place that brands itself as a quality Indian restaurant, this was not up to the mark, especially for a dinner service.

With young children in tow, we were especially concerned about the hygiene and freshness of food being served for such long hours without apparent replenishment. While the staff were polite, the overall experience left a lot to be desired in terms of food quality and value for money.

Very bad experience , had walked in for lunch with friends , left an expensive designer hat . The staff ddnt take care to keep it in a lost and found box . When later I went to retrieve it , the staff confirmed that they came the hat but ddnt have a basic process in place to store lost items . Made me come again to look for it and managed was extremely callous and simply revered the version to say they ddnt find it . Suddenly version changed from afternoon to evening .
