ChomChui Eatery & Coffee — Restaurant in Pattaya City

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Still # 1 in Pattaya ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Phenomenal KraPoa Moo ( stir fried basil with pork, fried eggs over rice). Tasted like no other KraPoa👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Not greasy nor overly spicy. You can taste the fried basil and fresh chili . The pork was tender, bouncy and flavorful. The fried egg and runny yolk added texture (crispy and creamy) to this simple dish.

The ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ of the show. They can run out by early afternoon KraPoa Moo Koab(crispy fried pork) was cooked the same as the above. Crispy skin with a layer of fattiness under the tender juicy pork. The rice was fluffy, fragrant and cooked to perfection . It was a perfect combination .

Coffee: medium roast I preferred their Brazilian coffee over the Thai. I like the non sour taste. Americano and Cappuccino was mild, subtle and satisfying.

This eatery has a modern decor, with lots of natural lighting and greener for a day of relaxing and chilling with friends.

Staff has a calm, cool and trendy vibe to them. Very nice people

ก่อนมา ผมแปลกใจกับชื่อร้านที่ติดหู พอลองหาความหมายก็เลยถึงบางอ้อ ฉม แปลว่า กลิ่นหอม, เครื่องหอม ฉุย แปลว่า อาการที่กลิ่นโชยมาเข้าจมูก ดังนั้น เอามารวมกันก็คือ กลิ่นหอมที่โชยเข้าจมูก ซึ่งโดยนัยยะของทางร้าน ก็คงสื่อถึงกลิ่นอาหาร แหม่ ไอเดียตั้งชื่อช่างแยบยลจริงๆ ผมชอบนะ

เอาล่ะ กลับเข้าเรื่องรีวิว ฉมฉุย เป็นร้านสไตล์คาเฟ่ มีทั้งของคาวของหวาน เมนูมีให้เลือกไม่มากนัก ของคาวจะเน้นผัดกะเพราครับ ของหวานก็มีเค้ก ซึ่งวันนี้ผมตั้งใจมาทานกะเพรา

หมายเหตุ: ผมอยากให้ชาวต่างชาติใช้คำไทยว่า ผัดกะเพรา (Pad-Ka-Prao) เพราะจริงๆ แล้ว basil หรือ sweet basil มันคือตระกูลโหระพา ซึ่งประเทศตะวันตกไม่มีกะเพราเหมือนฝั่งเอเชีย จริงๆแล้วอาจเรียกว่า hot basil หรือ thai basil ก็พอได้ … เพียงแต่ผมว่า ใช้การทับศัพท์นั้นเรียบง่ายและใช้ได้ดีเสมอ

กะเพราที่นี่อร่อยดี ผัดกับพริกแห้ง รสชาติเข้มข้น เลือกระดับความเผ็ดได้ (ผมสั่งเผ็ดกลาง) จานนึงเพิ่มไข่ดาว อีกจานเพิ่มลูกชิ้นทอด ก็ถือว่าทำได้ดีหมด เครื่องดื่มชาไทยใส่ดาร์คช็อคโกแลต ก็เข้ากันดี ชาจางไปนิดแต่ไม่ได้แย่อะไร

พนักงานต้องรับดีตั้งแต่เดินเข้าร้าน สั่งอาหารและเช็คบืลด้วยระบบสแกนคิวอาร์โค้ด ที่จอดรถกว้างขวาง โดยรวมถือว่าประทับใจครับ ถ้ามีโอกาสจะมาอีก

When I tried to find the meaning in google, I came to … Ahaaa i see “Chom” means fragrance (or smell good). “Chui” means the condition when a smell enters the nose. So, taken together “Chom-Chui”, it is The fragrance wafted into the nose. Which according to the meaning of the shop It probably refers to the smell of the food. Wow! the idea of ​​naming it is really clever. I like it.

Okay, back to the review. Chom Chui is a cafe style restaurant. There are both savory and dessert items. The menu doesn't have a lot to choose from. Savory dishes will focus on stir-fried basil. For dessert there is cake. Today I intend to eat basil.

Note: I prefer foreigner to use Thai word as “Pad-Ka-Prao” because actually Basil or sweet basil are another thing, western countries have no “Ka-Prao” as asian side, hot basil or thai basil also will do, but again … just use Transliteration for the thing is always simply and useful.

The basil here is delicious. Stir-fried with dried chilies Rich flavor You can choose the level of spiciness. (I ordered medium spicy) One dish added a fried egg. Another dish added fried meatballs. It's all considered well done. The Thai tea drink with dark chocolate goes well. The tea is a little lighter but it's not bad.

Shop staff are welcoming from the moment that i walk in-front of the shop. Order food and check your bill with a QR code scanning system, parking lot is ok. Overall, it is considered impressive. If there is a chance,...

From outside, you never would imagine to find a little paradise behind the door. Everything around coffee (hot&cold) is absolut excellent. Tried the pork belly and the skin was super crispy and the meat melt in your mouth. Only critic is as a smoker, even at outside tables, I have to go into a dedicated smoker corner which breaks the experience. All in all - Highly recommended !!
