Hot Tuna Bar — Restaurant in Pattaya City

This place truly ROCKS!!!. While my friends are at The go go bars I would rather be here. The musicians are especially amazing. Most of them are very friendly even if you get on stage. The house Drummer is unbelievable!!! It's sad that I live near a large City in America and there are better Rock musicians here.... It's all guys that are servers and they are excellent and I tip them well for their excellence. There are many 5 THB pay toilets in Thailand but even the Lady who works the Toilet entry Rocks! She doesn't try to charge extra for towel to dry your hands and provides a fresh clean one for every visit. Because of this I even tip her well. It's a little expensive for beer so many people just hang outside the bar. If they can't afford to go in the bar I understand. If they can afford it I it's wrong to just stay outside. Even so the Staff does not bother them. I don't mind paying more and tipping very generously. I have been there twice now. Not to take anything away from all the musicians but it was especially a treat to see Lam Morison my first visit. He may truly be the 🎸 King of Thailand. If you like real classic rock don't miss...

My girlfriend and I went there for a place to chill and have a drink. Live music is always cool. We ordered some beers a bit expensive compared to others places nearby for what they are offering but ok cool. It was super hot and a cold beer sounded good. 140 baht each. The music was pretty good the guy singing was rocking. Then this chick came up and nobody was requesting or tipping so I was like “cool I kinda feel bad, let me give her a tip and request a song”. I offer to a couple hundred baht considering the drink price and such. She was like that’s a difficult song not sure if I can sing it but if you throw in a bit more I’ll do it for you. I wanna hear the song so F-it. I go back to my seat and she was like “thanks everyone for the request here’s my last one for the night and sings some other lame song.

Be wary about tipping for a song in advance if they don’t wanna sing it. Cause they really don’t give a sh!+ about you...

During my third visit, I encountered a very rude waitress. She demanded a tip after walking me a mere 10 meters to the nearby ATM. I explained that I would tip for good service, not for such a trivial task. She then returned with a 130 THB Leo beer and demanded 300 THB. When I refused to overpay, she resorted to aggressive tactics, snatching my money from my pocket and my phone from the table. She insisted on receiving an additional tip before returning my belongings, claiming that a manager was unavailable and blaming her behavior on drunkenness.

I visited the establishment to enjoy the music, not to be exploited. It's concerning to think about the potential consequences had I reacted with similar aggression.
