I don’t even know where to begin. It was my birthday dinner and we were traveling to Pattaya. I had booked a reservation for a group that consist of 10 people. We went based on reviews that said this was a good restaurant. At first we were really happy to see how nice the restaurant was. The prices were higher than average but we decided since it was my birthday we must eat nice. When we got there they put us in the back of the restaurant where it was super hot and not comfortable. We insisted that it was fine only because the restaurant looked very busy. We looked up to see there was an air conditioner but it surely wasn’t working. We order our food and appetizers around 8:45pm. The appetizers came out 30 minutes later which is understandable but a bit long. After we were done with our appetizers we were expecting our food to come out in 20-40 minutes. This was not the case. One hour went by and we did not receive our food. Then another 30 minutes went by still no food. After waiting 1:30 minutes for our food we were getting tried and disappointed. A lot of my family began to lose there appetite. The owner of the restaurant kept going around to tables to see how there food was but insisted to come to our which made us even more disappointed. Surely after waiting around 2 hours we finally decided it was time to ask what had happened to our food. When we asked the waiter she said the order just went it and was going to take some time. After waiting 2 hours the order was just put in. This is when we finally decided to get up and tell them we would just pay for the drinks and appertizers. When we got up there was another group of 25 people who had been waiting since 5:30 for there food. This is roughly around 3:30 hours for there food. They insisted that they get up as well. At first they wanted us to all sit down and kept saying “all our food is fresh and it takes time”. Finally after argueing for 15 minutes they agree to let us go but insisted we pay for the overpriced beers and apps. The group of 25 was traveling with younger kids so they were pretty upset. Both groups including mine were East Indian and we heard a small comment made by owner that “all of you indian are same causing scenes”. After this I felt disgusted. I am an American Indian and if something like this happens in the US the restaurant would surely be hearing from the local news. Lucky enough we got a video clip of the owner saying the racist remark. This will be posted to my YouTube later on and I’ll edit this post so the owner can see. I’m going to try to contact the local Pattaya news and see if there willing to play the clip on there local news as well. Overall for 7 beers and 3 appertizers we paid roughly 3500 Thai dollars. It was a ruined birthday for myself with horrible service. I think it’s time that people realize it does not matter how good the reviews are some places will forever be...
Read moreHorrible disgusting not worth l, one of the worst dining exsepences I have ever had. If I could give this place no stars I would. Upon arriving to the restaurant we were faced with a terrable seating option being placed in the corner with many other open spots. Being a group we complied with the spot and decided to sit down. We were given 5 menus for a 12 person group and began to order our drinks. We ordered drinks to have the water not even be cold. We waited patently after the drinks arrived as we decided to order out appatizers. We order vegitaboe pakora, seesh kabas and also tandoori chicken. The kababs were herediously dry and were not spicy even though we requested very spicy even if they had to add chilie. The tandoori chicken was not special but suitable along with the vagitable pakkora. At this point the service went abousolutle downhill. We requested that we wanted to place the order for the main couse after we got our appatizers. We had to ask 2 separate times to make the order. We eventually got the order down for a few entrees. We ordered 4 entrees which should of taken 20 to 40 min as they were gravy dishes. We also ordered rice and also some naan which are also very quick. During the Tim our 2 hour wait for food the room was extremely hot and everybody in side if the group has to take walk out side to cool off. We were constantly asking for updates on the food until around 1 30 min in they told us they just gas started on out order. We angry and irritated due to the fact that there was 1 other group and 2 table in the restaurant. After learning of this we find out that the restaurant only has about 3 to 5 members in the kitchen cooking for a very often packed restaurant. Half of our group was falling asleep as we had a early flight the next day. At 10 45 we decided to tell the staff that we only want to pay for what we ordered and the drinks as well. Also not to mention that everytime before we learned that they has just started on our order when would ask staff for a check up on food they would see please wait 5 minutes or I will check for you and did not return. When leaving they said that out food was 30 percent but we were so confused as they started cooking it 40 minutes ago. When talking the other group of 25 people, Yes 25 people also confronted the owner and front of house saying that they had been there since 5 30 yes 5 hours and havent received there food. After that we left hungry and disappointed with the service and this supposed high end establishment for Indian food. Upon leaving the owner also said you indian people all act like this. We have video proof of this and we not trying to cause problems but racist remarks cross the line....
