Le Pub — Restaurant in Pattaya City

I dropped in to have a look based on Facebook advertising. The problem is they don't seem to know what they want to be a go-go bar or an old school Pub. They've got what they call a VIP section in which I guess you'd call the Go-Go area but it has a stage only about as big as a coffee table someone would have in their home and only two poles for girls to dance. It's surrounded very closely by 3 or 4 couches for seating but you could only get comfortably two or three people per couch. And the area can be curtained off but it's very small.

I stopped in to see an old friend bee that was a bartender at secrets many years ago. In what I guess you would call the pub area but it's very small they have the pool table still but it should be removed really. I think when they decide what they want to be and move in that direction only they'll do okay but in my opinion in my opinion only splitting it up seems a bit silly it's just too small.

A fantastic bar tucked away down Soi Diamond. Greeted my the staff welcomed by the owner Phil enjoyed watching the sport on 3 standad size tvs and a forth that was huge, saying that this bar did not come over as a sports bar but a friendly bar that also showed sports. The mucic in the background was at leval where conversations could be had. After downing a few pints of an English cider I finished off with an Italian fresh brewed coffee. Le Pub has been my "local" (even though it is far from local) for several years. While I don't drink alcohol, I do enjoy meeting friends while out and about. Le Pub is somewhat unique in that there is no smoking inside, the music volume is low enough to hold a conversation, and having company, or being left alone is not an issue.
