Bangsak kitchen ครัวบางสัก — Restaurant in Phang-nga Province

Food is very fresh and so delicious! There is a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The Pad Thai and Thom Yum here for example are outstanding! Best we had in our whole Thailand trip (including excellent restaurants in Bangkok and Chiang Mai).

Prices are quite cheap, fish and seafood are priced by weigh according to the current price on the market. That is because of the freshness and this way you can be sure to get what you pay for.

Shakes are equally good (check out the mixed fruit shake where you choose your own fresh fruits to go into).

Ultimately we were only looking for an alternative to the borderline bad (but at least expensive!) restaurant at our resort and found maybe the best Thai cuisine of the whole trip! Been there 2 times as of now but will eat there for the rest of our stay...

I am an American living in Bangkok for many years. Yesterday was my first time in Khao Lak. I found this restaurant out biking. I ordered a dish of chicken, garlic with oyster sauce and a dish of mixed fresh vegables. It was so delicious. I did not know Bangsak Kitchen extended across the street along the sea. I sat on a huge deck with such a beautiful view. Its beautiful and cool. This restaurant is covered with cool shade over both sides of the street with service on both sides. It's a must...

We were 4 persons and the 4 dishes (nothing special) we ordered came every 15/20 minutes one after the other. We all ate alone! The starter, spring rolls, were the worst in our 30 years Thailand. The dough wasn't cooked through and the food was carelessly slapped onto the plate and it was loveless. The staff were completely overwhelmed.

My drink, just a water, was finally brought after 20 minutes and after asking 3 times. A nice location doesn't necessarily mean a nice evening!...
