Wow, the food is so good here. And if you’re keen on having a speciality iced coffee or tea drink or smoothie, they have that as well. The environment is clean and spacious and there’s 2 toilets available that were clean.
We tried most restaurants in the area over the course of 16 meals and Double Tree was one of our top experiences (along with Otto and Happy’s) and a place we returned to. Everything is made to order. We started with shrimp tempura and for one meal I had a clear broth soup with veggies (especially morning glory) and my choice of one of 5 noodles. It was flavorful and just what my body needed. The next visit I had tom yum fried rice with shrimp and it was pure happiness in my mouth as I love the flavors of Tom yum and had never seen it presented as such. Double Tree quickly became our absolute go-to restaurant during our vacation. It’s a small, family-run gem with incredibly kind and welcoming staff who make you feel right at home. The atmosphere is cozy, calm, and shielded from both wind and street noise — a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a great meal.
The food is beautifully presented, made with fresh local ingredients, and full of authentic southern Thai flavor. While they also offer some western dishes, we stuck with the Thai cuisine and were never disappointed.
A special highlight: the sticky rice with mango — we tried this classic dessert in many places, but none came close to the one here. It’s also a great treat with coffee!
If you’re looking for a relaxing, friendly place with consistently delicious food, Double Tree is the one. Highly...

Unfortunately, the 2 Thai curries were not up to a good standard. The chicken was dry and like chewing rubber, the sticky rice was dried out like it had been left out for a few days. There was only chicken and curry sauce. The other curry did not taste like it should, it did not have the Thai flavours you would expect. The kids enjoyed their burger and wrap. I would not recommend this place. The atmosphere was not very good either. The staff were friendly. In our opinion it was also more pricy than other places in the area. Maybe the regular chef was having some time...
