Great place however because of our last experience it will get 1 star. The restaurant is part of a 5 star resort. If you are not a guest at the resort they will not treat you well. We did not have a problem the previous 2 times however the latest experience was really disappointing. We were sat by the host and informed her we were not guests at the hotel and everything seems OK just as the previous times. No one came to our table so I went after someone to at least ask for the menu. When they came they asked again for my room number and I informed i was not a guest at the hotel and I was promptly informed that my food would take at least an hour. I asked if it was because I was an external customer and the person with very poor English confirmed it was correct. So I politely declined and stood from the table. On my way out, I asked to speak to the manager and I was pointed in the direction of the same person who informed me that because I was an external dinner my food would take at least an hour. No explanation, no apologies. Bottom line: if you are not staying at the hotel you will be treated as a second class guest. Never seen this before not in Thailand and not anywhere else...
Read moreThe food was okay—nothing special. Given the level this restaurant claims to be at, we expected more. However, the real disappointment was the service.
We ordered drinks—water and wine—before even placing our food order. But the wine never arrived on time. Our food was already served, and I had to ask twice before they finally brought it. The staff seemed completely inattentive. No one checked on us to see if we enjoyed our meal or if we were satisfied. At the end, no one even offered dessert.
On top of that, for a restaurant of this level, the wine list had some obvious mistakes. For example, an Australian Shiraz was listed under white wines, even though it’s clearly a red. And a Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough—Marlborough being a well-known region in New Zealand—was mistakenly labeled as a Chilean wine.
For a restaurant that positions itself at this level, the service and attention to details were absolutely unacceptable. I definitely cannot recommend this place, and the price (4000+ THB) does not match either the quality of the food or...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of dining at The Edge restaurant in the Aleenta Hotel for nine evenings, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Situated directly on the beach, the setting is nothing short of magical, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere.
The staff at The Edge are exceptional—always smiling, cheerful, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. Special thanks to Guitar, Focus, Gary, Yacht, Mint, Noom, and Benz for making every evening so special with their attentive and authentic service.
The menu is wonderfully diverse, with beautifully presented dishes that are full of flavor. The team is very accommodating, adjusting the spice levels to suit European preferences and catering to special requests effortlessly and perfectly.
Dining at The Edge never became repetitive, thanks to the variety and creativity of the offerings. Every meal was a delight, making our evenings something to look forward to each day.
