Baba Beach Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Phang-nga Province

Well, the place looked nice enough. Few guests, though. Nice selection of food on the menu, both Thai and Western. Lengthy wine menu, so we asked for Verdejo. No have. Only two wines seemed to be in (server said), so had to settle for beers. The salads were spicy as advertised, but not in a good way, just chilli hot with hardly any herbs to nuance things off. The mains, in contrast, which were labelled as ‚Thai hot‘, were blander than a curry in a retirement home. And the few scraps of meat and veggies were swimming lonely as clouds in soups of red and yellow-green hue. Service? Timing and communication were both off, but not too bad. Yet, the poodle of one of the guests running around the tables unchecked was somewhat disconcerting. All in all, an experience to be forgotten. I had a wonderful stay at Baba Beach Resort Natai! The resort is absolutely stunning, right on a peaceful stretch of beach with breathtaking sunsets.
