Wow, just absolutely wow! We stayed here from 22-24 September 2023 and I really wish we stayed here at least another two or three nights, we organised a shorter stay only because we were not sure how much there would be to do and explore in the area, but there is lots to see and do in the nearby area, many great authentic restaurants, markets, waterfall and town nearby, a great place for relaxing away from the very touristy areas like Phuket and PhiPhi. Now before we even got here I was in contact with a lovely person named Worrawoot Pinitkarn from their sister resort on Koh Yao Yai . Worrawoot was so so helpful throughout all my questions and concerns and recommended Santhiya Natai beach as I was concerned about travelling on the ocean in low season. If it wasn't for Worrawoot's great service at the start we may not even have stayed here as we wouldn't have known about it and also wouldn't have started to experience the 5 star service before even booking. Once I started deciding when to book I was in communication with Nisa who was just as helpful answering my questions about transport and other things. Both staff were super quick to respond and had great English. 2 days before our arrival lovely Mai got in contact with me via WhatsApp to ensure she has the details for our flight and assured me many times not to worry about delays(we were delayed an hour at our stopover) that their driver would wait(included with our 2d3n package) . And sure enough upon landing our driver picked us up and loaded our bags in the car. At the resort on a rainy night 10pm there was Mai waiting for us at the entrance in the pouring rain with umbrellas. Her and the other staff loaded our belongings and organised for it to be taken to our room. We were welcomed with a welcome drink and refresher towel while everything else was being organised. The place was absolutely stunning - like a fairytale! The slim security guard, who took us up to reception in the buggy was there everyday greeting us and stopping whatever little traffic there was for us to safely cross the street to the resort every day. The staff at the restaurant were all amazing, every single person greeting you warmly every single time they see us. I am not good with names but Farot and Ken or Kevin was lovely and helpful. On our first day there was a lady playing a xylophone type instrument creating the best vibe. Food choices were almost anything you could think of Thai and western. Freshly made and delicious. Unlimited Breakfast buffet and al la carte was included daily with the package with juices and teas available as well included. And although they have a ipad to order on the staff are always there to help and order for you even. Now let's get to the room. Absolutely fantastic set up, very private like a villa but with the perks of being a hotel with staff cleaning every day, even neatly folding my own clothes I just left on the chair, respecting belongings. There are lovely little touches to make this room extra special, cleanliness was good and water very warm for the shower, though the shower did flood a little if we showered too long it wasn't a massive issue and we did not report it as it didn't bother us. Pool was also clean. The bed was huuuuge like two queen beds next to each other. Traditional harder Thai bed but still comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. As I said before it would have been nice to stay longer if we could. Price for all of this was very very good considering the 5star service and set-up. Plus I recommend signing up to the membership(they don't spam you) as you get extra discount plus money to spend at the resort, which we used for one more delicious meal and dessert for each of us before leaving. We also had a massage at the spa and it was fantastic as well, I fell asleep as it was so nice and my husband had pain relieved by the very professional ladies. Our belongings(camera, drone go pro, wallet) were safe and untouched while having the massage. Exceptional place - highly recommended! Thanks for a...

Beautiful private villas with pools, comfortable beds, and nice spa service. However, service and communication issues, limited English proficiency among staff. Location is remote, not many nearby amenities. Ants are a common issue. Overall, a decent stay but with some drawbacks.
The Good: The resort offers gorgeous wood-crafted private villas with private pools, sunbeds, and outdoor tubs. Each villa includes essentials like a mini fridge, mini bar, lockbox, television, and stable wifi. The beds are very comfortable, and the rooms are climate-controlled, although the controller doesn't always work. The staff is nice and helpful, the spa service is great, and the maid cleaning service is efficient. There's a decent gym and a variety of meal options, although not the best quality. Safety and security are good, with effective mosquito control. The resort also has 2 shared pool areas and a beachfront area.
The Bad: Allergies: if you are allergic to ants, make sure you bring several epi pen for the duration of your stay, as these little guys are EVERYWHERE here including your bathroom and your bed (see my pics and videos for more details). Service: I understand that I am in a foreign country and love exploring new cultures, but you should make sure your public-facing service staff can speak or at the very least understand English as a common language among the majority of tourists. We had several misunderstandings with the waitress who simply could not understand what we were asking for, as you order from your mobile device via QR code at a table and it seems their only job expectation from the administration here is for them to carry and deliver meal and drinks(?) Nearly no one to answer questions: a lot of the staff doesn’t speak English. You have to go through the ladies in reception to have nearly anything answered. Service Hours: for a hotel practically in the middle of nowhere, you would think some things such as room service or restaurant and DJ hours would be extended but instead the restaurant stopped taking orders at 9:30/21:30 and the DJ dips out at 9/21:00 leaving the fighting of the couple of the nearby table to be the only source of entertainment as you can hardly converse with your travel partner because no one is stepping in to inform them that their drunken confrontation is disturbing the other guests. Front desk dips out at 11pm/23:00. Location: kinda in the middle of nowhere and we initially thought that was a good thing, but when we saw how mediocre the food was and how early things closed, Being in nature is awesome, but prepare for it to be a bit loud in the early hours of the morning (see my 2am video of the cicada concert) between loud bugs and birds. Bring ear plugs if you’re sensitive to noise. Make sure you buy sunscreen before, unless want to spend the equivalent of nearly 40 USD in their shop for a tiny bottle… Convenience stores and other restaurants are not in walking distance. You will have to rent a scooter or pay for hotel arranged transport as again, you’re in the middle of nowhere so practically no taxis or transport services are available. Meal quality: not what you’d expect from a hotel of this scale. Bland and overpriced, extra cost for room delivery and certain items can only be ordered at the restaurant. Hot pools: the weather is so hot that the main pools are as warm as a jacuzzi. Not very enjoyable when you’re looking to cool off. The more secluded private pools are much better in...
Read moreBooked a Deluxe Pool Villa as a family of 3 with a 4 year old child. As you first pull up to the hotel, you are blown away by the grand entrance and the wooden structure the hotel is fully made of, very exquisite intricate design and carvings. Checking in was swift. We arrived after check in hours, so did not have to wait.
The room is a good size, lounge area, huge bed, small pantry, walk in closet area attached to the toilet and entrance to your own private pool.
Large toilet with many amenities.
Room service and front desk queries are catered through an app and what’s app. Very quick responses (Thank You Mai).
The pool area outside is big space with lounging chairs, dining table, and the pool is just amazing.
There is buggy service from the pool to the breakfast area. They arrived quickly to pick us up whenever we called, but the hotel was not full when we went, so everything was quick.
Breakfast had limited options, on display. However, they have a live egg station with so many options of gourmet eggs. They also offer coffee (hot and cold) many options to choose from from latte to flat white to iced latte. You just need to ask. Other options such as fruits and yoghurt and cereal was available.
Lunch and dinner had adequate options, but I do guess, if you are staying more than 3 nights, you may get bored of the food :) I enjoyed chilling at the restaurant that faces the main pool and the beach watching the sunset.
Each individual at the restaurant was so caring and attentive.
There were regular short shows of Thai dancing and Thai instrumental music. That was lovely.
There are two main pools at the restaurant (the rooms and the restaurant is divided by a small road that usually is empty, safe to cross, there is a security guard to flag and stop cars so you can cross).
The main pool is on the same level as the restaurant decorated with Thai long tail boats look alike lounge chairs !! Loved them. There is a small area kids can swim at, but definitely need floaters for the rest of the pool for smaller kids (1.2 mtrs). There is another pool on the beach level (take the stairs going down), but it was just way too shallow for us, suitable for kids to age of 2ish.
Beach: we could not swim due to the waves and jelly fishes. But we enjoyed walking up and down the beach.
Pool in the room was a good good size with depth of 1.2 meters. Our son needed floaters to help him swim longer and enjoy the pool, there was no shallow option.
There is no rail around the private pool, just take note to keep an eye if you have younger kids that wander off.
The hotel is surrounded by trees and surrounded by nature, all sort of nature’s insects (crawling and flying) are around you. We kept a big spray, sprayed all the entrances and the corners of the room in and out, daily. There are mosquito repellant in the room provided by the hotel. We kept a burning coil outside in the pool area (away from the wood structure). But the hotel is very responsible and fumigate the surroundings 3 times a week, we did not have much of an issue with mosquitos.
We wish the hotel would provide a stool in the toilet for younger kids to use the sink.
Wonderful stay over all.
Will definitely be trying out the other Santhiya Hotels...
