An unassuming restaurant, nicely rustic that you could walk past without noticing. We weren’t in the mood for a big meal and decided to stop by. The manager was very friendly and informed us his daughter would be serving us as she wanted to learn English. This was perfectly fine by us and she did a good job. We only ordered a Pad Thai and some fish cakes but it was probably the best Pad Thai we had for this entire visit. Read moreWe ordered 5 different dishes and we found food very authentic. I am Thai and I found crispy chicken wings the best among all dishes I ordered. Yun Woon Sen is pretty fresh with good quality prawns. Prices are very reasonable. Total was less than THB 1,000 for 4 of us.
The two ladies at restaurant are both Thai. I went to Mali, another Thai Restaurant nearby because of good reveries but we found their food very touristy taste and waitresses could not speak Thai.
I would recommend Tiew Son over Mali for food and Mali for atmosphere. Mali installed more fans on the ceiling and it made the atmosphere better...

Fragrant beautifulThai food, and good for vegetarians. They were really great about my husband’s nut allergy, we carry ‘No peanuts- nut allergy’ written in Thai and I would recommend this!! They even brought their chef around to double check what was or wasn’t OK, and really looked after us. If you don’t want to sit in another restaurant surrounded by tourists eating hamburgers in Thailand (?!)...
