The Village Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Phetchaburi Province

If you’re in Hua Hin and craving authentic Thai food in a welcoming setting, The Village Restaurant is an absolute must-visit. We tried several dishes during our meal, and every single one impressed us.

The Papaya Salad was perfectly balanced—fresh, tangy, and just the right amount of heat. The Black Pepper Fish was beautifully cooked and tasted incredibly fresh. My favorite among the mains was the Stir Fried Chicken, which was tender and bursting with flavor. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to snap photos of these plates because we were too busy enjoying them!

We saved room for dessert, and I’m so glad we did. The banana split and fried banana were honestly something to die for—crispy, sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal.

The ambiance is relaxed and family-friendly, making it a great spot to bring kids or unwind with friends. Service was warm and attentive throughout. On top of all this, the prices were very affordable for the quality and quantity of food.

We heard about this from others and it was not as good as was advertised. The food is good, but there are better places along the same road (Ruby shop is much better).

The Tom Kha Gai (Coconut Chicken Soup) was not the best. There was no ginger, lemon grass, or spices normally in the soup.

The Cashew Chicken was a smaller portion for the price paid. It was decent but lacked that extra something to push the review ton4 or 5 stars.

The mango sticky rice was very lacking. The mango was lacking and brown. The mango tasted like it was a couple days over ripe.

The owner was sweet and nice and friendly.

The atmosphere was nice and friendly. The service was fast.

If you had only one night would choose other place on the same road.

I have come here everyday since I arrived in Cha Am almost a week ago and have been impressed with every meal! The food is consistently delicious and prepared with fresh ingredients.

The spicy pork salad is truly amazing and served with high quality pork tenderloin. I have had shrimp prepared multiple ways and each time the shrimp are fresh and cooked perfectly! The whole fried fish with Thai herbs is a revelation with fried lemongrass and shallots providing a beautiful delicate, aromatic flavor which blends and lingers perfectly with the surprising yet very pleasant addition of cashews.
