Straight out of Japan, more specifically, Osaka. Awesome, authentic food fro the land of the rising sun!! Tried a bunch of different stuff as it's an Izakaya. Gyōza was great. Kaaraage was also good. A bit different with a white topping, never had before but it was really good. The sushi, I only had salmon Nigiri, was surprisingly great!!! Pork steak was fantastic!! They went out of there way to make Tako no karaage for me as it's not usually on the menu. The chili shrimp was good, mild, not spicy. Salmon was good too The owner is a baseball fan/coach and has several autographed jerseys up on the wall. My favorite, of course are the Hanshin Tigers memorabilia!!!! They do have some Giants, Dragons stuff and others as well. I really liked the place for its authenticity, the owner, Yuko was very kind and warm, and attentative to our needs. The other staff were also good, spoke English and even knew Chinese! Friendly place, would highly recommend it for a taste of Japan! 🇯🇵 they have all you can drink specials that...
Read moreThe restaurant is located opposite BigC shopping mall, not far from BTS Onnut station (about 10-15 minutes walk). It is located at the end of a side street off On Nut Rd. The restaurant has two floors. The ground floor has 5-6 tables (for 4 guests) and also counter seats (“kaunta-seki”). I understand that the upper floor has low tables with floor seats (“zashiki”) - I didn't go there. The service was very good.
I ordered Tonkotsu Ramen and it was good, but not the best. Salmon Rolls were simply great. Takoyaki was good, too (sauce was very tasty). Overall, the food was very good.
My only complaint is that the menu did not clearly state that VAT (7%) had to be added to the prices. Maybe this information was somewhere on one page of the menu. However, in many restaurants this information is provided on every page of the menu. I am sensitive to these issues in Thailand, where VAT and service charges are often added to the prices quoted (although I never know in which...
Read moreWe wanted Japanese food on the first night that we’ve arrived in Bangkok. Off the beaten track, we went and checked out this restaurant. I looked up google and found this place with high reviews. It was very close to the hotel that we are in. We walked there and it was in an alley way. We wondered in and there it was!
The staff were very welcoming and service is efficient. We ordered a few Japanese Tapas: Edamame stir fry with garlic and chilli Hamburg with demi glaze Avocado Tempura which was super delicious. Barbecue squid
And we ordered loads of beer to adapt to the hot and humid weather.
If you feel like Japanese food, this is the...
