Read moreI'll start by saying this is a really cool spot, and would be a great place to post up and get some work done it. Nice quiet relaxing atmosphere and they have a no plastic use business model.
They apparently will also let you take a plate or bowl from them and go and grab outside food and bring it into their place and eat it, which obviously reduces plastic and styrofoam use. Very forward thinking for thailand. Onto the negatives.
You would be wise to take them up on this outside food policy because their menu is quite sad. If you are a vegetarian you will not have an easy time finding something to order. They have a few vegetarian option on the menu but they are quite sad and very overpriced.
I ordered their mushroom pasta; it was really just penne with some cheese sauce and mushrooms. It wasn't bad, but the mushrooms were canned. In Thailand where amazing fresh exotic mushrooms are in abundance there is no reason to use canned mushrooms. When I asked about this they said "fresh ones go bad too quickly" but also that the dish my friend got which also had mushrooms in it were the fresh variety. Confusing. I will add that this very small, basic plate of pasta was 150 ฿ ($5). It would not have been worth that price in the US.
I also ordered the cocoa banana smoothie bowl. Also very disappointing. Coming in at a steep 180 ฿ I expected a massive serving and some quality. It was basically a small bowl of chocolate sauce soup with a few slices on banana in it. Very sad.
In conclusion: very cool spot, very sad and expensive food. If you go just make sure to only order a drink and grab a bowl from them and grab some decent and reasonable priced food...
Read moreEng + Thai review. Seem Chef absolutely don't give a damn about his job . I have ordered 2 dishes and 2 coffee: Poached Egg Open Sandwich and Marble Egg Breakfast. Poached egg mean yolk suppose to be liquid, that is on the point, instead it was hard, it is absolutely different conditions and taste of egg at all and what more important completely different with pictures on menu. Egg it is easy to cook, you can only imagine how the chef cook more difficult dishes, and based on another people's pictures they always over boil egg on 'poached'. In another dish - Marble Egg Breakfast, instead put 1-2 tablespoons of beans as it shown on them own menu Chef served just only 4-5 single beans, it is just ridiculous. And after that they forgot about ordered coffee.. Screw up 3 times in one order required very very special skills. I Living In this area, but no any desire to back here again, fortunately lot of another café around.
