RK Food Garden 81, located just a convenient 7-8 minute walk from On Nut BTS Station Exit 3, is a fantastic spot offering a wide variety of cuisines. You can find Burmese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Mexican, Western food—you name it, they have it! The food quality is quite good, and I decided to try the Burmese ethnic Kachin cuisine from a shop called Melikku. Their dishes aren't oily and are packed with unique, healthy flavors.

I highly recommend the Kachin pounded beef salad, which is out of the world. It's perfect with a cold beer or even alongside rice. Another must-try is Kachin rice salad with vegetables and shredded pork or beef on top, a flavorful and satisfying dish. You can request to adjust the spiciness level according to your preference with the chef. Don't miss out on their kitchen-style grilled fish, and Kachin beef curry, all of which pair well with beer or wine as tasty appetizers and are packed with protein.

Please keep in mind that the restaurant, Melikku, which I mentioned earlier, is closed every Sunday.

The food is not only delicious but also healthy, and the prices are reasonable for the quality you get. I can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu!

I recently ordered from Shar Joon Pyan from RK Food Garden 81 through Lineman and tried a few dishes. The pork ribs vermicelli with fried garlic was the highlight, super tender ribs with rich flavor, definitely a must-try. I also had the steamed chicken noodles with garlic, which was a bit bland for my taste, though still decent. The fried dumplings were different from the usual style I’m used to, but surprisingly delicious. Prices felt a little high for the portion and value, but the quality shows promise. Looking forward to trying more...

It is a convenient food court with many stores offering a variety of food, drinks and beverages. I think there are many Thai and Japanese restaurants. Although it is called a food court, there are also bars, and I think most of the restaurants are mainly open in the evening. There are plenty of tables and seats, so you will have no trouble even if you go with a large group. Prices are inexpensive at all restaurants. Even if you have already ordered something, they will ask for your drink order as soon as you sit down, and even if you are in the middle of drinking, they will offer you alcohol, so it may not be very comfortable for those who do not drink a lot of alcohol. There is a parking lot in front of the food court and attendants are available. Just be careful not to drink and drive. Weak-willed people who drink when encouraged to do so, even if they have no intention of doing so, may want to take a Taxi or walk to...

We live nearby and normally always have dinner at this place as they have many different shops. Today I parked the car at the car parking but didn’t go into the market directly because I was talking with a friend across the road. Suddenly a woman and a man came talk to us that we can’t park the car if we don’t eat at their place. I told them politely that I’m just having conversation with my friend about 5 minutes and then I’m going to eat there. The way they talk was very rude, we immediately decided to go inside the market for dinner but that woman said us to get out of the market. You don’t need to eat here just get out that’s what she said. We enjoy to have Dinner at that market but we are not coming back there anymore. It’s so humiliating to get yelled in front of other customers by those uneducated, ignorant and no service minded security guards or I don’t even know their position because they are not wearing...

We had dinner at Mali Hku, a Kachin traditional shop, and was very satisfied with the taste. I’ve been missing these traditional dishes from my home country, and this meal truly fulfilled me. We tried two dishes, and the Sa Hpye was outstanding – so good that you shouldn’t miss out on it! The pork tenderloin salad would also be perfect with a beer. Overall, this shop is a great place to enjoy authentic Kachin cuisine!
