We had one of our best and most memorable meals of our 4 month SE Asia trip here. The food is incredible but more importantly, the owner and chef is was so loving and friendly. The little restaurant on the river in a quiet neighborhood just added to the magic.

We arrived and we're told there was no English menu, which is extra points in our book, but a local couple was just finishing up and they helped us (including a peak and whiff of their leftovers,) so we simply said, we'll have what you had so they ordered for us and the chef got to work.

The fish was amazing. Not sure what kind of fish but it was meaty, the skin was extra crispy and it tasted delicious and that was before we even dipped it into the homemade dip. We also had a light and bright soup with prawns, lemongrass, I think Kaffir lime leaves, tomatoes and other goodies plus some rice. The owner gave us some fresh watermelon to finish off the perfect meal.

First of all if you are freshwater fish lover. I really recommend this restaurant. The owner is so kind you can bring your owns liquor with free of charge ( Wine, whiskey, brandy, etc ). And the food is really delicious with good quality. The type of fish you will get is depending on each day. Better ask owner directly.
