Nestled amidst the quaint alleys and side roads of central Hua Hin lies a hidden gem of a restaurant, Steak SudSoi.
This unassuming outdoor eatery, with seating for only 30 to 40 guests, may appear simple at first glance, but it holds a culinary prowess that belies its humble facade. Helmed by Chef A, a seasoned Thai culinary virtuoso and former head chef at a prestigious 5-star hotel in Bangkok, Steak SudSoi promises an exceptional dining experience.
During our visit, G and I were treated to a surprising delight. He savored a flawlessly cooked medium-rare rib-eye steak accompanied by creamy potato mash and a fresh side salad, while I enjoyed a perfectly fried seabass served with a tantalizing lemon dill sauce, potato salad that even the German approved of and savory cooked purple cabbage. To conclude our meal on a sweet note, we indulged in the impeccably crafted crème brûlée, a dessert that, in my opinion, deserves the new title of the best in Hua Hin.
Throughout our dining experience, the ambiance was enhanced by the soothing tunes of popular easy-listening music playing in the background, while the attentive waitstaff ensured that our every need was promptly attended to.
Remarkably, the entire meal, including drinks, came to a mere 850 baht, making it an excellent value for the quality of food and service provided.
For those seeking a culinary journey off the beaten path in Hua Hin, I highly recommend paying a visit to Steak SudSoi.

Read moreIt's worth a visit! It's a lil difficult to find it, because you need to go inside the alley and walk around 2 minutes and the location in on the right side with a lot of beautiful plants surrounded with a wellcome plate! We are not aware that reservation is needed, but since it's still early for usual dinner time, they wellcome us. Actually, all tables were reserved with a small tag with the name of the patron! It's a restaurant without ac, since they open from 5 to 11pm, should be fine with fans. Their menu are extensive, pasta, pizza, all kinds of meat, beef, pork, chicken and salmon, burgers etc with affordable prices. We had our order: NZ Ribeye ; Beef Tenderloin + gnocchi with creamy sauce + Ceaser salad + 1 large Leo. The lady was very kind and came to tell my husband that NZ beef is a little "gummy", so she ask if he would like to change to AUS beef, that will be more tender. The food they present was very nice, well decorated and tasted good. The meat was well prepared and worth the price. Nowadays, prices in HuaHin gone higher, compare to last year, but it is still affordable for the quality of Beef. Definitely will go back! Recommend it! We asked for a business card for future reservations! If you are going to dine is better to call and have a reservation! Don't say I didn't tip you...saves your time of waiting if your going at dinner hours 😜 Ps: Next time we will go first to our favorite oil massage spot (180 Massage) nearby and after we will go dine...
Read moreThis wonderful establishment really is at the end of the soi !! Just up 88 past the railway and turn right at Soi 10 then first right again down a tiny one lane back-soi. Parking is limited, so grab any opportunity before you get there, and there are 3 or 4 on the grass verge at the final turn of the soi. It is an outdoor venue with 4 or five tables under cover if it rains. It is very down to earth and basic but clean and well kept. The food is another story. A limited western menu but covering fish, pork and chicken, burgers and pizza all to a very high standard. The chef worked many years in a local 5-star hotel before opening the venue with his wife who handles out front. I have worked my way through the menu with help from my family, something I can highly recommend as it includes some delightful starters like beef ragu and deserts such as lava cake and ice cream. The portions are not large, but the price is incredibly affordable, almost unbelievable If you haven't checked it out yet, pick a dry night and go for it. Open 5pm till 11 pm shut...
