The Barrel Hua Hin เดอะบาร์เรล หัวหิน — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Tonight was my second visit to this wine shop I bought 3 bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon from 3 different vineyards in Chile for a friends birthday party. I am a regular red wine drinker and 55 years old and have only had 1 corked bottle of red in the last 30 years. Tonight all three bottles had a very dry cork hard to pull and after letting the bottle breath and tasting all 3 bottles tasted flat and had bland smell with no notes other than a little musty with not much flavour on the front or back end. I realized that this is very unusual and rare to open even one bad bottle but three from different vintage from 3 different wineries. Not sure what to think here but others at the party that tried said the same that not much aroma and flat taste from all 3 bottles. I never took them back. If it was 1 bottle I would but 3 I wonder if the issue is with me or the way the wines are...

The Barrel Hua Hin is a cozy wine bar that has become one of my favorite spots. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with a good selection of wine from all around. The ladies who work there are incredibly friendly. They always have excellent suggestions, whether you’re a wine lover or just looking to try something new :)

One of the best parts about The Barrel is its collaboration with the pizza restaurant next door. You can grab a glass (or bottle) of wine and order food from Grasso Pizzeria. It pairs nicely with the wine selection and it’s a convenient setup!
