As a first time visitor to S64, any expectations I had were far exceeded. Although only a few storeys high, the low rise development around it means that views across to the airport and the distant glow of central Bangkok are unimpeded. The staff were most gracious and welcoming, and they were highly attentive without being intrusive. After 3 weeks of nothing but Thai food (which I love far too much) I opted for a western meal which was the penne carbonara. I wasn’t expecting greatness, but boy was I wrong. It was truly superb, and the medium size portion was just enough to satisfy my moderate hunger. At the end of the meal I was presented with a complimentary fruit platter, cup of refreshing tea, and a lovely little plane shaped letting. I’m never a huge fan of airport hotels and their restaurants, but should the need arise again to stay near Suvarnabhumi, I wouldn’t bother staying anywhere else but the Suvarnabhumi Ville and eating again...

As noted, it is on the roof of one of the two buildings that make up the hotel. You get views of the surrounding area, nice sunsets and even a little plane spotting as the landing (usually) jets fly by the hotel.
The food is excellent and the menu presents a broad variety of flavors from Thai to European. I had the Pad Tail Noodles with Shrimp and left nothing but three shrimp heads. They also provided me with a complementary fruit selection for dessert.
The staff is excellent, too. The servers work as a team, so alerting any server will get you a prompt response. They are friendly and helpful, and made my meal an extra pleasure.
I highly recommend S64 (I think that’s a runway designation). The food, atmosphere and staff will guarantee you an...
Read moreCame for a late night meal and drinks, during the last 25 minutes of happy hour. I was seated and brought menus but no one came by to take my order after 10 minutes of being seated. It wasn’t busy either and there were 5-6 servers. So I went to get a server, I gave him my order. Sirloin steak and a drink. 25 minutes go by and no drink, so I went to the server and asked for the drinks, which he never placed. Another server who spoke English came over to assist. Got the drinks a few minutes later and the food. The food was warm to cold when I got it. The steak was 1/3 uneatable due to the toughness/hard fat. But the peppercorn gravy was good. My recommendation for the owner would be to make better steaks, have your servers more attentive and write down orders with repeat backs, and also to add some ambience to the restaurant, like tall trees and...
