Rawai View is a beautiful cafe/bar overlooking Rawai Beach. There are wonderful views to be had and the restaurant has a wonderful old world ambience. We were excited to visit for breakfast after reading so many glowing reviews on Google. Sadly, the food that was presented was probably the worst breakfast we have ever had in Thailand! I ordered the Dutch Egg Benedict and my partner the garlic bread. The eggs Benedict were horrid. Hard egg yolks, watery flavourless hollandaise sauce and cheap 711 pressed ham on a chewy muffin. An absolute disgrace! Rawai View described the dish as "perfect poached eggs, savoury ham and velvety hollandaise on a toasted English muffin." The muck they served up was a million miles from their description. I understand it is not the easiest dish to prepare but if you are unable to supply the described dish then remove it from the menu. I brought it to the attention of the server and in fairness she did offer to provide me with another but I declined. My partners garlic bread was a cheap bread also, cheap ingredients here at premium prices. With a couple of drinks our total bill came to 610 baht, which included a 10% service charge of 56 baht. Whoever owns this establishment needs to retrain the cook or remove the Dutch Egg Benedict from the menu....

Delicious & beautiful modern Thai cuisine and cocktails with stunning views & tasteful decor, served by super friendly staff, away from all the touristy hustle & bustle, what a hidden gem! I also loved that I can easily find tasty low carb and/or gluten free, healthy dishes as well.

What to try:

Start with one of the well balanced, lovely cocktails, made by a pretty talented bartender, they were all so good!

Soups:

Must try!!! Served tableside, using the siphon method, what a great idea! It’s unique & a fun experience as well, great one for your social media, Instagram stories/reels :)

Salads:

Seared tuna, just stunning! it’s not your average boring tuna salad. Not only is it a stunning looking dish, but comes with a flavor packed spicy curry sauce along with a sweet beet/fruit sauce to balance it out. Also a very healthy dish!

Eggplant salad with chicken & shrimp, also a healthy, tasty dish, well balanced.

Desserts:

I am generally not a fan of the sweets but the desserts here are not super sweet! I had the mango panna cotta, which was creamy & delicate, just perfect!

I would recommend going for a late lunch or early dinner to fully enjoy the...

A relatively new restaurant/hangout that feels like an instant classic, this quaint beachfront Cafe has great food, warm servers and an unbeatable laid back ambience.

Pros: Easily book reservation on Google Maps 👏👏 Good Asian cuisine (recommend sticking to Thai here for the best experience 👍) Fantastic beachside view water🌊🌊🌞 w decent coverage in rain 🌧 Hangout spot w a net hammock downstairs 😎 Clean bathrooms 🚻 Takes int'l credit cards Live Music sometimes 🙏 Cool cocktails and nice, unusual liquors 😋

Cons: Very limited car/bike parking. If it's at all busy, you'll have to park roadside up and down sandy hills/ditches 🏖 Expensive: this place is farang price 💸💸🤑 Music is usually too loud so it's hard to hear your friends talk 🔊🔊😭 Pasta sucks 😕 🤷‍♀️

Verdict: Winner Winner Chicken Dinner 🍽 😋 This small, quaint beachfront Cafe is a good place to enjoy a chill lunch/afternoon or a casual dinner w live music on the weekend.

If you prefer to hang out and enjoy the beach under shade with food & bev in Rawai/Nai Harn area, this is a great joint on a quiet beach road. The ideal afternoon chill...
