After my Krabi experience—where I got a tiny portion of food for a hefty price—I wasn’t expecting much. But then, just 24 hours before leaving Thailand, I stumbled upon Sea Calm Café near the airport while exploring Nang Yang Beach for the airport viewpoint, and what a gem!

First off, the café is super cute, and my wife absolutely adored the ambience—she even said she could happily spend the whole day there. The two ladies at the counter are true pros—efficient, friendly, and clearly love what they do. Bonus points: they provide free drinking water, something I rarely saw anywhere else in Thailand.

I tried their banana muffin, and let me tell you, it was a showstopper—definitely a 10 out of 5 moment. So good that I came back the next morning before leaving. Breakfast was another win: my wife enjoyed a club sandwich, while I went for the pancake and ham breakfast combo. Every bite was just… amazing.

Stopped by Sea Calm Cafe because of its convenient location near Phuket Airport — and it turned out to be a great spot for a quick break before a flight. The cafe is just a few minutes' drive from the terminal, making it an ideal place to grab a bite or a coffee if you’re on a tight schedule.

The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed, true to the name. The decor is simple and clean, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. It’s a comfortable place to sit and unwind, especially if you’re looking for somewhere peaceful before a busy travel day.

As for the food, it’s pretty standard — nothing particularly special, but it gets the job done. The flavors are mild and straightforward, which works well if you just want something quick and easy before heading to the airport.

What really stood out, though, was the coffee. It was surprisingly aromatic and tasted great — smooth, well-balanced, and freshly brewed. Definitely a highlight of the visit, and something I’d come back for if I’m in the area again.

Honestly I planned on leaving 5 stars, but the experience was spoilt with the attitude of two employees working in the cafe house closer to the beach (a girl and a man) They were a bit rude and not smiling in the very beginning. Then they tried to charge 100 baht for the drink that costs 80 and started to basically shout at me as if I was deaf or stupid trying to explain why. That was off limits. Even other customers left.

Look, if you have three prices for a drink (hot, cold and frappe) together with pictures the customer expects to pay a certain price for one of the three options. Introducing a different one (that wasn’t mentioned in the menu) seems like an attempt to fool you, which tourists face a lot, let’s be honest. That creates a very bad impression.
