Was here for breakfast and the place isn’t too crowded. The chicken is so soft and tender. However, it’s quite small of a portion. Siew yoke and fried meat ball is also very crispy and flavorful. The salted vege pork is my least fave. Pork is not so flavorful and not a fan of this dish due to lack of the layers of flavor. Everything else was really good. Not forgetting that the chicken rice literally came in the form of a chicken. The soup has a very strong chicken taste which compliments the whole meal really well. The condiments for the chicken rice is on the table and everything compliments the chicken rice very well. Extra plus point as the owner is extremely kind and considerate. We are traveling with a vegetarian eater. The owner recommends a nearby vegetarian place to takeaway and he allows takeaway to be eaten at his restaurant. Regarded as the only stall with the best chicken rice, roasted pork and chilli sauce, betong chicken rice had come a long way to have a massive presence in Hatyai city.
The decor is almost carbon copy with most stalls and it can get hot and stuffy during the afternoon. Nevertheless, do not let the old school feeling brings you down, once the rice n chicken goes down your throat, one will forget all worries and savour even more.
Not oily, not weirdly hard or overcooked, the textures of the rice n chicken brings out all flavours. In addition, one should not attempt to leave the chicken stall without ordering the ridiculously crispy roasted pork.....

We ordered a few of their signature dishes. Of course we ordered their chicken rice, a whole chopped up steamed chicken, a plate of roasted pork n char Siew, a dish of their signature pork trotters, a dish of stir fry taugeh, 2 plates of fried green vegetables n some taufu. As for drinks,I ordered Chinese tea. The chicken rice was special cos the rice came in the shape of a chicken n they put it on a place.
