We, ten of us, order plentiful, with Beer and softdrinks, only a little more than three thousand baht. There are some previous comments said this restaurant is expensive could be prejudiced.
Funny that they don't serve Tom Yum Kung but have Tom Yum Seafood. Yet, the fish they use is not fresh. This spoiled the dish. The Pomfret fish is not fresh and therefore no matter plain soy sauce or spicy marinated could not help. The deep fried shrimp is not even close as the batter mixture was not appropriately prepared for crispness.
The deep fried sand fish(30 baht each) and the braised pork feet are good and they are the most popular dishes of this restaurant. The catfish salad is good too.
The sugar cane juice and lotus root juice are too much sweetened.
Service is absolutely speedy. The cashier lack of smiling face is too common for old style restaurants but not bothering us since we don't need to pay at the counter.
Overall, this is still a good choice for...

Taste. Rate 1/10. I don't take a lot of photos because the foods not cook up to my expectations. Not understand why many people here.
Particularly on Tom Yam and roast pork, many Malaysian do better. Whereas the glass noddle prawn, prawn is not fresh, noddle is so little.
Price. Each dish is about 80 to 250, small size, rather small portion. For 3 adults, we can take 6 dishes.
Service. Thought most of the customers is Malaysian, but the workers can't speak mandarin & English. No signature dishes provided.
Location. On the main road, easy to locate. Parking on the road side is rather easy.
Summary. This place is build for Malaysian tourists. I paid 980 bhat for 3 person, which i think I can have much better foods out there. This restaurant is popular due...
Read moreThere is a lot of nice n affordable thai restaurant in hatyai, so i wouldn't recommend this restaurant for those looking for delicious thai food. Firstly, when we sat down and asked the staff to recommend any nice food ie tomyum, then he simply point to a photo in the menu then walked away, without further explain or recommend others. Then when we decided to order, the staff who came to take order also no smiling expression on her face like we are bringing trouble to her...so finally our food was served, overall i would rate it so so only, the tomyum soup not hot. And the portion also quite small and we think quite pricey if we compare to another restaurant we visit yesterdah. But they serve the food fast. Overall i find this...
