Saneha Café — Restaurant in Songkhla Province

Let me start by saying that this restaurant located in the Centara Hotel Hat Yai is highly underated and deserves to see more diners therein - that is, other than its very popular breakfast buffet. I have been staying at the Centara Hotel Hat Yai since Monday and I decided to have my dinner at the Saneha Cafe this evening - partly because I will be checking out of the hotel tomorrow. Whilst I have not tried the breakfast buffet at the cafe - since buffets are a thing of the past for me, as I get older - I was curious to know how the cafe performed at other than breakfast meal times. I ordered this evening a Classic Green Curry Chicken, a Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables with Soya Sauce, and a plate of Steamed Jasmine Rice. To begin with, the cafe staff were professional enough to serve all of my dishes at the same time, so that everything arrived at the table, hot, as they should be. The Curry here was excellent - spicy and tasty through and through, and it was texture wise very good. The vegetables were very good and also very tasty. And the rice was such great accompaniment to the aforementioned two dishes. So, as far as I was concerned, the food here is excellent. By the way, the cafe staff were kind enough to offer some still water, gratis - which I appreciated. However, I felt a little bit sad that I was (for most of my time at the cafe) the only diner. Hopefully, after seeing my post here, others might be encouraged to dine at this cafe other than at breakfast. As I have already mentioned, service here was excellent in my opinion - very friendly, very courteous and very thoughtful. The dining ambience was very good. Highly recommended. My waitress chollatip was super friendly and attentive and helped me find some delicious local flavors on the menu. The “gaeng som” (sour curry with fish) was super flavorful, and the laab gai (chicken salad) was very fresh...

Great service and impressive selection of food. International options. Food taste good and reasonably priced....
