Top notch find 🤩 You had me at “hello” - or better yet, “smoked”. This is a cute looking little shop in the old Songkhla town Center. From the outside it has this crafty appeal, and even if we were not planning to go for lunch, I probably would have poked in my head.
Long story short, this is one of those places that has an owner / chef that loves what he does, and takes the craft very seriously. He was willing enough to come explain patiently everything I had asked the staff. I’m quite particular on certain things so he showed me the meat and cooking oil.
And man, what a beauty that was - the Wagyu A5! Gorgeous piece of beef. And of course I had to sample his crafty brisket and ribeye. Everything just cooked and smoked to perfection.
The ribeye, succulent medium rare, nice little char, and what I appreciated was that it came unseasoned (with seasoning on the side).
The A5 - OMG, buttery goodness and so tasty. The crusty sear on this was perfect. That was a cover edition of a Maillard reaction. Flavour and texture that contrasts the texture of the core.
The brisket, nicely smoked and cooked low & slow for that easy pull with my fork. The craft shows!!
So net, wow, I could not have imagined a better first lunch of 2024!

Read moreAte here once while staying nearby. Very small seating area. Staff were friendly and helpful. I ordered an ice coffee and a breakfast bowl with candied pork, roast potatoes & fried eggs. There was a degree of language struggle from both sides naturally. Anticipating the eggs would be overcooked I did my best to request them medium with the yolks still wet. When I got the dish the eggs were more towards well done so that was a wasted conversation. The potatoes weren’t cooked long enough and were chewy. The pork was tender and flavorful. With the slightest change in technique this dish would have been excellent. I roast potatoes and fry eggs practically daily and this is more common sense than anything. Don’t overcook fried eggs and cook potatoes all the way through....
Read moreI’d recommend the pork candy⭐️ and the mac & cheese potatoes⭐️, definitely must-tries from the overall menu.♥️♥️ The chicken was also good, it fell off the bone easily, but pork is still my favs. The waitstaff were quiet, polite, and helpful.
My only two complaints: the parking was really hard to find (as we all know), and the jasmine teapot was too small, it only filled about two glasses.😔 And it’d be also great if u keep the menus up to date on facebook page.
On the plus side, the toilets were clean, so no worries if you want to get hands-on with the ribs or...
