Once I discovered this place I was coming back to it every day, sometimes even couple times a day. They have the best coffee on Koh Samui from my experience! I visited a dozen of other coffee shops and this one is definitely the best, HOWEVER please be advised it is only the best when the owner/manager (my guess) is preparing the coffee!! I had a few cups done by other stuff and it's day and night! So beware please! But if you care about good balanced taste, great long finish, perfectly frapped milk - you won't find anything better on the whole island just trust me! So I would give this place a solid 5+ for the coffee made by "the Man"considering the location and competition around!! Otherwise food is good, but service is so so very inconsiderate depending on the day weather and the mood of your server))) They do have some good healthy choices and ingredients, there are a lot of vegan options as well (not my thing but definitely worth mentioning). Another thing that bothered me a few times, the cafe has a nice beach view and outside sitting area but some people smoke outside and the breeze takes it all inside which for me is intolerable, I really hate it and consider disrespectful. So it ruined my experience a few times and luckily I could move the table and finish my coffee, but it is not cool of you are like me. However, I did enjoy my morning coffee here and would recommend it to all coffee lovers! I would...
Read moreWe are definitely the wrong crowd for this place.
We were looking for a Western breakfast as a break from Thai food (we're here for a month). Someone recommended this place.
It's great if you're looking for a Western cafe at Western prices that replicates a health food bar in the high street of London, LA or Sydney (3 types of home made combucha, vegan everything, lots of veg on your plate and almost no meat (I think we may have been penalised for having the nerve to order a dish with meat on it - the English breakfast was 80% potato and beans, 1 egg scrambled, one piece of short cut bacon (not even the whole strip)) and 1 sausage for 230 baht).
A cup of tea for 50 baht and a pot for 90 baht, this is almost Western capital city prices to replace a Western capital city experience.
Almost everyone reviewing here raves about this place. I suspect we're not their target market - we actually want a decent meal rather than something to impress followers on Instagram.
There are many better Western meal options - go to Cafe Culture if you want a meal for eating rather than...
Read moreThe setting was lovely and the food was good and reasonably priced but unfortunately the service wasn’t good at all. We patiently waited for our second drink to come out, appreciating it was very busy, then asked about the drink after waiting 15 minutes to be told they would ‘check on it’. Another 15 minutes passed and we watched several other coffees be brought out so could only assume it had been forgotten about again. By this point we had finished our food so started getting ready to leave and the drink arrived. The waitress didn’t even attempt to apologise for the delay and seemed completely confused that we no longer wanted the drink nor wanted it to take away and told us we should have cancelled it. We were polite and patient given we could see it was busy but for the blame to be put on us when we had to chase a simple drink order and still didn’t get the drink for another 15 minutes after soured the experience. In fairness they didn’t try to charge us for the drink so that...
