I don't like to say "the best I've ever did" - but I can say, it was one of the best experiences I've done so far. We were with 4 other guys on the boat, who were also really relaxed and it was such a special easygoing group dynamic. Julien let us feel completely like being in paradise for three days … he searched all the best places, where we could be alone, with no one else than all the beauty of the ocean surrounding. When we went out by kayak, he always recommend some special places for hidden lagoons, sand beaches or caves in the middle of nowhere. So it felt like discovering all this on our own, which made it even more special. By choosing the different locations at the right time for hiking to viewpoints on the islands of the national park, he managed to avoid crowdedness (for sure-it's not so crowded at all because it's too far away ; )
We really fell in love with the areas for snorkeling - we went to such incredible places where we could discover red corals, swarms of fishes, big, small, colorful, beautifullest! We were even so lucky to see two octopus in the sand. Absolutely amazing! Yes, and on the top, we were lucky to have clear water by day and not so clear water in the night to see the bioluminescent planktons. Wow, what a special thing to see!!!
And last, but not least!!!, the whole tour was well organized. So clean, so good asian home(boat)made/cooked dishes by Wassana, his wife. Unbelievable what she whipped up in this small kitchen - totally relaxed, seemed to be easiest thing in the world. Everday fresh, different - breakfast, lunch, dinner and some snacks in between. Amazing! Roland, the passionate fisher man, joined us for the three days and caught greenfish and the real red snapper - it couldn't be fresher! Also the two sons where really relaxed. Sleeping on mattress or hammock, it's up to you.
All in all - We would highly recommend going on the boat safari 3 days / 2 nights with this family!!! Even if you already spend some time on Koh Tao for snorkeling (or even if you had done the touristic boat safari 5 spots which is promoted everywhere; ) if you have the...
Read moreAbsolutely thrilled to give my resounding praise for the Unseen Tours experience at Ang Thong! This is not just a trip; it's a journey into unparalleled beauty and adventure that exceeded all expectations.
Julien and Wassana, our exceptional hosts, transformed the experience into something truly magical. Julien's careful navigation ensured our isolation from other tourist boats, creating an exclusive encounter with the national park. Wassana's culinary expertise elevated the trip - each meal and snack was a testament to Thai cuisine at its finest.
Julien's meticulous planning kept the boat comfortably uncrowded, offering us the freedom to indulge in various activities or simply relax. From kayaking and snorkeling to hiking and stargazing with ice-cold beers, every moment felt like a curated slice of paradise.
The only negative is that I chose the 1 Night 2 Day trip, if I could do my time over I would have opted for the 3 Day trip.
Trust me; it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that deserves every moment.
Huge gratitude to the Captain for safe navigation and to Julien, whose passion for Ang Thong is infectious.
Special thanks to Wassana for her warm hospitality and culinary prowess.

Read moreWe had an absolutely amazing experience on our trip with Unseen Tours, which was a family run business. Julian and his team were absolutely incredible and made sure that we had a wonderful trip to remember.
We booked the private tour around Koh Tao where we were taken to the best snorkel spots at the best times of the day. His local knowledge was absolutely amazing, and the team made sure to take us to all of the best spots for wildlife encounters.
We were able to swim with turtles, all types of different fish and saw some beautiful coral. Julian and the team were very flexible and allowed us to personalise the tour to what we wanted, while giving his expert advice and opinions.
The food was delicious, freshly cooked on the boat and a real highlight of our trip. We were also given refreshments throughout the day and were able to purchase drinks on board. Tea, coffee and water were included in the price also.
The boat itself was very spacious, clean and organised. We had plenty of room to either sunbathe or stay in the shade. We were provided with all the gear needed for our snorkelling (masks, snorkels, fins, floating devices), and even given a speaker so we could play our own music!
All in all, a five star trip. A huge highlight of our time in Thailand and we will be recommending this company to anybody who wants to visit Koh Tao. It was excellent value for money, and Julian and his team/family were amazing!...
