BEST RESTAURANT IN KOH TAO BY A MILE! We loved it so much we went back 5 times! We had the fresh spring rolls, seaweed rolls, carrot salad, thick red curry, pad thai, green curry & everything was so good!! Bruno and his wife (forgot her name) were the most beautiful thai-French couple! So welcoming and loving. We had great conversations with Bruno over a few days and his stories are really interesting. They are also environmentally friendly which was a huge bonus. Thank you to Bruno & his boss lady Mrs for their restaurant and being part of mine & my husbands 3 month holiday. Before we left, I told Mrs Bruno that I am going on a boat and she gifted me a balm to use for sea sickness (I get it bad). Absolute gem and she was the Thai auntie I didn’t know I needed on my trip! Much love and success to them both 💜💜💜💜💜

Large selection of vegetarian meals. But everything we tasted was disappointing. Papaya salad (100 Baht) - large portion but just not tasty Vegetable soup (100 Baht) - large portion but very bland. Nobody wanted to eat it after the first spoon and even trying to season it with a bunch of condiments couldn’t turn this soup around. Stir-fried eggplant with shiitake mushrooms (100 Baht) - best dish we had in this restaurant but still quite mediocre. Thai ice tea with coconut milk - Thai tea had too much sugar and it enough tea. Plus, instead of using fresh coconuts they used canned coconut milk (that you can purchase at every 7-Eleven or overseas supermarket). Who wants to drink that?! Super disappointed. Service is friendly, atmosphere chilled, but that doesn’t make up for the poor food.

La Carotte on Koh Tao is a hidden gem for vegans and food enthusiasts alike. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with a warm ambiance and a menu that promises culinary delights. We indulged in their Frite Spring Rolls, Fresh Spring Rolls, Red Curry, and Masamann Curry, and each dish was a symphony of flavors. The crispy textures of the spring rolls perfectly complemented the rich, aromatic curries bursting with spices. The attention to detail in presentation and taste was evident in every bite. Whether you’re a dedicated vegan or simply seeking a delicious meal, La Carotte exceeds expectations with their inventive and delectable offerings. A must-visit for anyone craving exceptional plant-based cuisine on Koh Tao.
