Jacks Bar (Haad Salad) — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

The owner of the bar is what makes this place the best. He is charismatic, always actively trying to make you more comfortable and best of all, he takes great pride over making fantastic (strong) cocktails, in particular mojitos. The prices are very reasonable and he plays great reggae music. Every Thursday he has live music... Jimmy Tae was playing when we visited and his performance was absolutely phenomenal. The only small issue is the toilet isn't the best but personally I think all the other great things about this bar more than make up for that....

It was quite that night … the guy just told us over and over again that the place is usually more crowded. Which we didn’t really care about as we were a big group and more than happy to be with ourselves. The drinks took ages and didn’t taste at all. The mojito was just sour and bitter - looked more like a caipirinha. The mai Tai was not a Mai Tai at all - get some orgeat. The guy was nice an tried his best, but the cocktails were definitely not...

Someone said previously that jack “lives and breathes jacks bar” and this couldn’t be more true (but more than that) he is a genuinely lovely guy who will point you in the right direction & make you some strong and tasty cocktails along the way! His bike wasn’t available so he helped us rent one through someone else, he explained everything to us and is a very trustworthy guy! Would recommend a visit to anyone who likes chill vibes, a banging smoke...
