My recent dining experience at Carte Blanche in Koh Phangan was an absolute culinary delight. This charming French restaurant exceeded all expectations with its exceptional dishes and impeccable service.
Starting with the gravlax mackerel, I was immediately impressed by the perfectly cured flavours. Each bite was a harmonious blend of freshness and vibrant tastes, showcasing the chef's skilful execution.
Moving on to the squid ink spaghetti, it was a revelation of simplicity and elegance. The al dente pasta, cooked to perfection, was accompanied by tender seafood, creating a delightful symphony of flavours.
However, the star of the show was undoubtedly the tuna tartare. It was, hands down, the best I've ever had. The fresh, high-quality tuna, expertly diced and seasoned, melted in my mouth with each bite. The flavours were perfectly balanced.

Read moreVery nice dinner here. Staff and service is super friendly and the food is awesome. As a French chef, I can recognize easily what is really french techniques and mentality in a dish. The chef here is putting love in every dishes, sourcing local ingredients and changing the menu quiet often depending on the fishes/vegetables he can find, « carte blanche » in French means the freedom to improvise and act, and that’s what he does! He mix french techniques and seasoning with local ingredients, very interesting if you want to try french inspired food with local ingredients with a menu that you can’t find nowhere on the island. Everything is fresh, tasty and local. Maybe the only real french chef on the island who really COOK in the kitchen and adapt to the products. Thank you for existing!

Food is fresh, super tasty, creative, and beautiful. The dishes are big and the prices are fair. We loooooved the ceviche, the seabass fillet from the specials, and the dessert with the banana. Thank you for the amazing dinners. *Also, at least the 2 couples around us came back to eat here after their first time, just like us ;), it speaks by itself....
