This place has REALLY REALLY REALLY good food!!

It’s a basic but beautiful restaurant where Da cooks delicious Thai food her way.

As everything is cooked to order you’re going to have to wait, so deal with it!

If you want fast food you’ve come to the wrong spot! You need to be patient and don’t come super hungry or this isn’t going to work out well for you.

You could be waiting anything from a couple of hours (or more) depending on how many orders are before you so be prepared to play some cards have a few beers and soak up the atmosphere.

The food when it arrives is AMAZING! All ingredients are fresh and are cooked with love and passion in Da’s own style.

We came here a few times and sampled the red curry, massaman curry, coconut soup, prawns with holy basil, morning glory and papaya salad and every time it was off the hook!

The prawns are bigger than any we have had in any other restaurant in Thailand and are delicious, her tofu is lovely too!

The spice level goes from baby all the way through to die. I like it hot so had die spicy and wasn’t disappointed.

The best food you’re going to find on Haad salad, probably Koh pha gnan and possibly Thailand!

If you turn up and are rude or can’t be patient then don’t bother coming.

If you want a top class meal that you’re never going to forget...

Amazing food, amazing owner, amazing surroundings!

What can I say about this place? We were staying on the south side of the island and searched out authentic Thai food, we took a taxi (600baht) and it was worth the taxi ride just for the food but also the experience.

The setup is run by Dar, one of the craziest and funniest Thai ladies I’ve ever met. She puts effort into all the food she cooks, and cooks everything from scratch (so be prepared to wait for your food, especially, if there are other people in the restaurant waiting for their orders). Her cooking style is slightly different from classic Thai, which is what makes it unique on the island

So sit back and order some drinks and enjoy the free games they have there, while your food is prepared and cooked.

You will be told straight up if there is going to be a wait, so I’d suggest a leisurely lunch. If you haven’t got time to wait, find somewhere else, if you do stay, you won’t be disappointed! Thank you Dar and Daniel for the amazing experience and hospitality, it will always stay...

Unfortunately, I have to confirm the bad reviews. We were also unable to enjoy the apparently very good food because the owner was very unfriendly. When we arrived, we were "greeted" with an annoyed snort. When we asked if we could eat there, we were told in a very unfriendly way that her food would take as long as she needed and that she didn't want to hear any "blah blah" and that we could leave if we didn't want to wait longer. The owner seems to have had bad experiences with customers, which is no excuse for such unnecessary behaviour. Of course, I would also accept a longer waiting time for good food, which wasn't the point at alll, because we had only asked if we could eat there. Apart from that, only one table was occupied. Accordingly, it could not have been due to stress.

Customer service was non-existent. Unfortunately, we cannot evaluate the food. Maybe the owner should evaluate her behaviour towards customers as her food seems to be good to deliver a great overall...
