Peppercorn — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

Amazing meal at Peppercorn. We walked here from our local hostel which was about 15 mins of hard uphill but very worth it! The restaurant was not busy but it was a Tuesday in off season and four other tables came and went during our meal. We had carpaccio to start (very delicious, just doesn’t need the bed of salad leaves imo) and a schnitzel and steak, both were great! Mushroom sauce could have been a bit creamier on the schnitzel but steak was one of the best I’ve had in a long while (even in London restaurants) and was cooked to perfection. Wait staff were very professional and helpful and provided bug spray when we released we had forgotten ours. Would have loved to try a dessert but portions were very generous and we couldn’t finish! Expensive meal for Thailand but cheaper than other steaks I’ve seen advertised here and significantly cheaper...

Amazing restaurant!!! We were looking for good steak for my partners birthday and this place was it! My partner was so happy and couldn’t believe how fantastic the steak was. I ordered the Duck D’orange which was DELICIOUS! The portions were amazing and food and meat were cooked to exceptional standards. They were nice enough to bring a candle out for one of the cakes for my partners birthday which was so lovely. The staff were so polite, warm and welcoming with big smiles. The owner also came out and asked how everything was which was really personable and a nice touch to the whole dining experience. This has to be the best steak in the whole koh pahngan!!! We ordered the mixed platter or nz/aust/ rib eyes in medium rare! The platter was serve just in time after we finish our starter and best part is the chef personally came to serve us!!! If you ever in koh pahngan this is a must to go! Reasonably price and steak are done right in terms of flavor and texture.

Don't forget to also try their coconut milk based ice cream they're soooo delicious especially chocolate flavor ice cream! I cannot emphasize more on the quality of the food. Its truly authentic and worth every penny.
