Very professionally run local community club for tennis, pickle ball and the main attraction Padel which is a modern smaller format game like tennis meets squash or American pickle ball.
Padel has a similar size court to tennis but without the ‘out of bounds’ border areas, instead it has glass walls at the back and part of the sides so you still get a breeze AND the ball bounces back so play continues for much more interesting rallies.
Instead of a tennis racket Padel uses a lightweight special purpose bat and instead of a pickle ball or a tennis ball it uses a special purpose ball similar to a tennis ball so the bounce has more control and is adjusted for beginner, intermediate and advanced players.
Padel Samui has two outdoor Padel courts and one under cover and they are building a fourth court also under cover next year. They also have a full size professional modern flexi-pave tennis court and a US style professional pickle ball court.
There is a nice casual club house for snacks and drinks plus regular tournaments.
Padel Samui is a local institution and a focal point for the expat, local and tourist communities.
I played tennis competitively for nearly 8 years and consider it to be one of the best run and most welcoming venues I have ever been to in my life.
There is also a very nice little restaurant with a big sala for indoor-outdoor dining offering a mix of thai and other cuisine with excellent healthy burgers and Mex food...
Read morePadel Samui is a well-managed local community club offering tennis, pickleball and to the obvious note, padel - primarily. Easy to learn, straightforward and fun without killing the stamina too quickly - for someone like myself.
Beyond its title as community club, Padel Samui is a regular host to a number of tournaments. As a hub for the expat, local, and tourist communities, Padel Samui is definitely THE padel destination in itself.
The place is indeed very inviting. From the totally relaxed atmosphere, nice landscaping to helpful staff and most importantly, the professional setup and equipment at high quality standards.
The club also includes a nice al fresco restaurant, Mex Siam. The cozy restaurant serves Mexican and Thai menus, and offers extensive...
Read moreComing from a regular padel social scene in Perth Australia I was looking forward to visiting Padel Sumui on our holiday. What a fantastic venue with outstanding facilities (multiple courts), and more importantly the "vibe" was perfect. Friendly, helpful staff, a nice seating area and restaurant in a relaxed atmosphere. For those more fearful of the intense sun there is even a covered padel court to book. Cannot recommend this venue highly enough, and anyone undecided should "Lock it in Eddie". Maybe space for one/two more courts once Koh Sumui gets swamped when White Lotus Series three goes to air and padel gains even more popularity. "We...
