🌟 A Flavor-Packed Feast at Krua Choeng Mon 🌟 I stumbled upon this cozy gem in Choeng Mon and ended up having one of the best meals of my trip!
The fried chicken wings were pure joy – crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with just the right amount of spice and crunch. I could’ve eaten a bucket of them! The spring rolls were golden perfection too – light, flaky, and stuffed with fresh veggies, served with a tangy dipping sauce that brought it all together.
But the real surprise? The fried seafood rice – wow. Every bite was loaded with plump shrimp, squid, and delicate flavors, all wok-fried to smoky, savory perfection. It was comforting, satisfying, and totally addictive.
The morning glory (ผัดผักบุ้งไฟแดง) was crunchy, garlicky, and slightly smoky – the kind of simple dish that’s easy to overlook until you taste how well it’s done. And I can’t forget the yellow curry – rich, fragrant, and beautifully balanced with coconut and spice. It wrapped everything together in a warm, mellow glow.
The atmosphere? Relaxed, local, and friendly – no frills, just genuine Thai hospitality and seriously good food. Prices were super reasonable...

We had the whole place to ourselves so hence the stellar service (as much as you can get from a casual restaurant). Felt like an authentic experience for true local food.
Outside drinks were allowed esp for the kids and everything cooked was super fresh. Had sweet and sour fish (fried) 🐟, shrimp 🍤 cake (must try), yellow curry, noodles, omelette, papaya salad and chicken skewers. High recommend the fish and shrimp cake. Would have ordered much more however as always it's limited ordering with kids!
Total price was about 1800 baht for all the dishes plus a few drinks. Super...
Read moreThis is a family-owned restaurant with refined homestyle cooking and an extensive menu. My husband & I ordered the chicken pad see ew, pork larb, fried chicken wings and sticky rice - so fresh and delicious! The lovely owner asked for spice tolerance to which we said tourist spice; this was very mild so we definitely could’ve asked for spicier. Drink options however were limited and there were no desserts. Nonetheless, the protein was high quality and everything tasted delicious. The dishes also came out at the same time which is something we’ve found isn’t common in other establishments. We were the only patrons here on a Wednesday night so we hope more people can visit this lovely family and...
