We spend 2 wonderful weeks in the amazing Khwan Beach Resort directly by the Passa‘s.

We spend also the whole two weeks for almost every meal ( breakfast, lunch, dinner, pool and room service) with 4 people at the Passa‘s.

We tried almost every meal of their menue and we couldn’t be more happier.

Every meal has been a tasty explosion in our mouths, so we didn’t wanted do go anywhere else! And the beverages like the wines, cocktails, fresh smoothies, longdrinks and especially the selfmade Orancello/Limoncello were incredible.

They do a fantastic Italian kitchen (Pasta, Pizza, handmade Ravioli, Risotto, special meals), Thai-Food is also five star kitchen and a very good international menue. Everything is fresh prepared and we didn’t have anything to complain. Specially if you have some place left for dessert, you have to try the lemon tarte!

The dishes were served amazingly and lovely! We had to make photos of almost all of our dishes.

Especially the Italian food had be done of one the lovely owners by her own.

But the food is not the only we can recommend… the service was really excellent! All our wishes were more than fulfilled and all of the staff is attentive and caring. The owners and the staff were always interested in our condition, wishes and experiences and they gave us very good insight tips for activities in our holidays.

The atmosphere was great too! We loved to sit next to the pool under the stars, the moon and the palm trees and inside the restaurant. Every evening there were selected artists, who appealed to our other senses.

The result of spending two weeks at Passa‘s is not only to take home some kilos more on our bellies, we came as strangers and left as friends. Everybody at Passa’s has a place in our hearts for making our holidays as a dream which came true and a feeling of belonging to this lovely place ❤️

Our loved thanks go to the owners Leyla and Andrea, Emma (manager of the restaurant), Corey, Junior and the whole team! 🙏🏻

Passa is an absolute culinary treasure nestled in the heart of Koh Samui. With its unique blend of Italian and Thai cuisine, this restaurant offers a dining experience that is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped in, we were enveloped in a warm, inviting ambiance that perfectly set the stage for an unforgettable evening.

We started with the lasagna, a dish that was perfectly balanced with layers of rich, velvety béchamel, and an impeccably seasoned meat filling. The pasta melted in the mouth, and each bite left us wanting more. The carbonara, on the other hand, was a masterpiece — creamy, with just the right amount of pecorino and crispy pancetta, showcasing the chef’s attention to detail and respect for authentic Italian flavors.

The highlight of our meal was the tuna steak — an absolute revelation. Cooked to perfection, the tuna was tender and flavorful, delicately seasoned to allow its freshness to shine. It was a wonderful experience.

Beyond the incredible food, what makes Passa truly special are its owners, an Italian gentleman and his Russian wife. Their passion for food and hospitality is evident in every aspect of the restaurant, from the thoughtfully curated menu to the warm, personal interactions with guests. They took the time to share the stories behind each dish, making us feel like we were dining at the home of old friends. Their dedication and love for what they do shine through, turning a wonderful meal into a genuinely heartwarming experience.

The service was impeccable, the presentation was exquisite, and every dish we tried was a testament to the chef’s passion and skill.

If you’re in Koh Samui and looking for a place that offers not just a meal but a true culinary journey, Passa is a must-visit. Five stars, without a doubt. We’ll be...

A restaurant with a luxurious appearance, but, sadly, with a very mediocre service and food.

Food: for my starter I ordered fresh spring rolls (aka summer rolls) with crab meat. To my surprise, I was served these fresh spring rolls with supermarket crab sticks (see picture). Considering that the restaurant prides itself for serving food made from fresh ingredients, this left a sour taste on my experience, to say the least. It's also worth mentioning that most of these supermarket crab sticks don't even contain any crab meat (usually pollock meat).

For my main meal I ordered Cashew Nut Chicken. When they brought the dish it had no cashew nuts in it at all. When I asked the waiter to explain themselves, they took away the dish and brought it back the minute after with some cashew nuts sprinkled on top. So, they didn't cook the meal with cashew nuts, they just added them afterwards... That was their "solution". The meal tasted average at best. It was very oily and half of the dish was chunks of onions. I had better Cashew Nut Chicken at street food stalls for 70 baht.

I washed all of that "luxurious food" with 80 baht Coke 👌

Service: the waiter that served me spoke barely any English. Now, that would be completely fine, if I went to a Thai street food place where local Thai people eat, but this place is targeting tourist clientele and charges premium prices. Therefore, basic English skills is a must, if you ask me. Also, at some point something started beeping at the kitchen and the noise went on for a few minutes. This was rather unpleasant.

In the end I spent almost 700 baht for a very disappointing lunch. It's a shame though, cause the place...

The food was terrible. You receive European bill (we paid 200 eur for 4 persons) for food made without love or understanding of the spices (in Thailand!??!?). You could feel that the food (scallops, lobster, mussels) was not fresh, but defrosted. The execution is poor, and the quality does not justify the attempt (e.g. lobster was harsh and chewy, 'wagyu' beef was simple fat beef, not the marble one). You're much better off enjoying authentic, delicious street food at a local Thai-owned place rather than dining here. On a positive note, the service was good, with friendly Thai staff attending to us (although it is owned by russian) and the live music created a nice atmosphere. However, that didn't make up for the disappointing food. We came here after seeing a lot of good reviews, but I guess understanding good food is not for everyone. To make matters worse, we ended up with food poisoning and had to leave feeling awful. Definitely not recommended.
