San Remo Lounge — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

We found this place searching on Google as our local pizzeria in Bang Po was closed, which turned out to be a good thing!

The place is clean, menu is clearly defined in English and service was quick and attentive.

San Remo Lounge is an excellent place, caters for veg and non veg. As we are a family of 4 vegetarians visiting the restaurant, they understood what we wanted and answered any questions we had.

We made our own pizzas and they were delicious (thin crispy and loaded with a fair amount of toppings), being reasonably priced makes it even better.

Lars, who I believe is the owner was a great host and dropped by time to time to check if we needed anything.

10/10 - fully...

I honestly don't understand why a lot of reviews are raving about the pizzas, because honestly this was one of the worst pizzas I've had in Thailand. The bottom was thick and undercooked and didn't taste like it was fresh.

Owner was not friendly at all, didn't look or say hi.

The only plus was that the pizza was richly topped.

I've also tried Gusto Italiano's pizza and that one was the very worst. My favourite pizza place in Samui is from Street Bar & restaurant, made by a local Thai guy. Don't know why but his pizzas are so much better than these Western...

Great food, best Pizza on the island, great service and a charming Owner. Every time I go to this restaurant the Owner Lars welcomes every guest with a genuine smile. He takes care of all his patrons and no request is being ignored. I have eaten a number of different dishes such as Schnitzel, Salads and Gyros, which are all excellent, but I love the Pizza the best.
