Quote Restaurant — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

We had high expectation of this place because of 4+ star review on Google Maps and other sites. However, our experience turned out to be the opposite. There were no obvious signage after the hotel’s main sign to give us direction of how to get to the restaurant. Once we walked into the hotel area, a staff came out asking if we are going to Quote and told us to walk straight down. We walked down to the restaurant via the dimly lit path only to find out there were no signs of life (other than stray dogs). Then, we walked back up to The Lounge, and they said we could sit here because they were short-staffed. We were seated pretty quickly, but had to wait for an hour until all the food came out and we were only one of the two tables with people. The food was very subpar compared to the raving reviews, and they served two wrong items that we did not order. We ordered the vegetarian pizza, bravas, and pasta pomodoro, only to find that they all tasted the same—each dish was drowned in the same bland gravy with raw tomato.

The drinks were no better. The virgin mojito tasted like lemon tea, while the lemon tea tasted like something else entirely—neither drink remotely resembled what it was supposed to be.

Sehr schönes, gepflegtes Restaurant, allerdings mit google maps nicht leicht zu finden. Wir sind 3 mal eine falsche Einfahrt hineingefahren. Am besten gibt man das Royal Beach Boutique Hotel als Suchbegriff ein, denn das Quote Restaurant gehört dazu. Wenn man Glück hat, kann man vor der Lobby des Hotels parken, aber da sind Parkplätze eher knapp. Angeblich gibt es auch einen Valet Parking Service, bin mir aber nicht sicher, ob der auch Gästen angeboten wird, die nicht im Hotel wohnen. Sonst muss man sehen, dass man irgendwo in der Nähe des Hotels parken kann. Wir waren an einem Mittwoch Abend die einzigen Gäste, was irgendwie schade war, denn das Restaurant liegt sehr schön am kleinen, sauberen Strand und man kann von dort sogar den "Grandfather's Rock" sehen. Der Chef des Restaurants (wir vermuten, er war der Chef) war sehr freundlich und hat mit uns eine Zeit lang nett geplaudert, sogar ein bisschen auf deutsch (sonst englisch).
