Lucky Elephant — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

This restaurant is really cozy and the ambiance is really nice. We went here to have dinner, because the ratings were pretty good. It wasn’t really crowded when we got there and the staff was really helpful and came really fast to get our order. The restaurant itself was really cute and cozy, however it was really noisy, because it’s right next to a really crowded way with a lot of cars and scooters. The food however wasn’t that good in my opinion. We ordered spring rolls and when we got them, they were cold… I ordered the fried noodles with chicken, but it was just with too much clove. The fact that we went here five times during our 6 days stay in Koh Samui speaks for itself. Normally we do like variety when it comes to choosing restaurants but Lucky Elephant just offers anything you could ask for in a Thai restaurant for such a low price. All the dishes we tried were excellent and authentic (Red Curry, Panang Curry, Pad Thai, Coconut Soup, Spring Rolls, Green Curry). Moreover, the place is very clean and you can see the cooks doing their thing in the kitchen, of course accompanied by the scent of freshly stir-fried garlic. This place is bursting with flavour!! It’s so good, in fact the best Thai food I’ve had since I’ve been here on this trip.

My favourite Thai dish is Chicken Panang curry and I’m forever hunting to find one out of this world... I successfully found it! This is now my favourite restaurant. I’ve been many times as I work remotely nearby. Lunch, dinner, whatever!

The garlic & pepper prawns are lovely, and the Pad Thai is probably one of the tastiest I’ve had in Thailand.
