We unfortunately had an awful experience there. We went walking from our hotel; about 15 minutes walk. It was quite easy to find, since there are some metal signs on the road pointing in the right direction. Arriving there, we originally just wanted to go up with the cable car, drink something there and maybe enjoy the sunset view. But they offered a zip line experience too, which my 4 year old found super cool and wanted to try. We asked if it was safe for her and how it worked, they said one of us could go with her and slide together, which we agreed. So they then said she didn't have to pay to go up, which was really nice, but that we had to decide here and now if we wanted to do the Zipline because you can't buy tickets on the top (not true, as we found out later)... They also accept credit cards but we had to pay 4% more to cover their fees. So one adult paid 200bath for only the cable car, and the other 1000bath for the cable car plus zip line experience. 1200bath (+42 b fees) was a bit more than what we were initially intending to spend, but ok, we are on holiday, I thought. Up we go! A few more steps up to reach the cable car. The guy operating it was super nice and my daughter loved being able to ring the bell up. Arriving there, we wanted to first do the Zipline, so that we could enjoy the sunset later and not have to do the Zipline when it was darker... But the surprise: now they wanted an additional 800bath for my daughter. That was not what we had heard previously, and I tried to explain what the woman downstairs had told us... About 30 minutes of discussion (mostly between them, since every few minutes came a different worker to join the drama) and two video calls later with me to the woman that originally sold us the tickets, we said we were not paying 800 bath more, since 2000bath was definitely not in our budget for that day. The woman on the phone then agreed to pay us back for the Zipline we didn't use. But by then my daughter was distraught and in tears, she couldn't do the activity she was hipped about. So the atmosphere was totally ruined for us and we decided to just leave again. End of the day we were all quite upset and bitter, having spent 442bath, and not having been able to enjoy our time there. All I could think about on the way home was how the view was not worth the price, but probably it was due to the experience and...
Read moreNot very well sign posted so you may have to ask around. Once there the price we were charged for the round trip in a cable car was 200B pwr person and was offered everything for 1000b per person? Everyone else seems tp say its 800B for everything so either its gone up 200B today/permanent or we were being charged excessively? Either way we only went for the cable car trip because of the excessive charge... Also after going up to the view point I noticed that there was only 300B change from a 1000B for the 3 people, there was no point in saying anything as after walking away you will definatly not get the cash not given so MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR XHANGE WHEN PAYING!! The cable car round trip also includes the fish foot massage. The grounds are pretty well taken care of but at the moment there is a driveway being built up. Once at the viewpoint there is a small restaurant selling some food and drinks. Seating about 30 people so if you see a tour bus in the parking area I doubt you will get a seat. We had a pizza which was nice and cost 180B, drinks are also ok and not totally bulked out with ice, well the smoothies wernt anyway. There are also alcoholic drinks available for those who want them... Views from here are very nice, its also a relaxing place and would of got a very good rating if it wasn't for the 100B light on my change and the try of excessive charge for...
Read moreI recently visited the Lamai Viewpoint, a zipline experience located on the island, and had a great time with my girlfriend. The experience was thrilling, and the views from the top were simply breathtaking.
The Lamai Viewpoint has two zipline lines, and we got to try them both. The staff was friendly and professional, and they made sure that we felt safe and secure throughout the entire experience. The lines themselves were well-maintained and felt very sturdy, which was reassuring.
The highlight of the experience was definitely the views. From the top, we could see the lush greenery of the island and the sparkling blue waters of the sea. It was a truly magical experience, and we felt like we were on top of the world.
However, I must say that the prices at the Lamai Viewpoint were a bit steep like other zipline experiences on the island. While we did enjoy ourselves, we felt that the prices were a little too high for what was essentially a short ride down a zipline.
Overall, I would recommend the Lamai Viewpoint to anyone looking for a fun and thrilling zipline experience. The staff was friendly, the views were incredible, and the overall experience was unforgettable. However, be prepared to pay a premium for...
