Sa-Nga — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

I recently dined at Sa-Nga Restaurant, located on Koh Samui Island within the Centara Reserve Koh Samui, and it was truly an exceptional experience. My visit was recommended by White, Few, Beaut and Aut, who are not only fantastic individuals but also great connoisseurs of fine dining.

Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by Ms.Namwarn, Ms. Taete and Ms. Sand, who exhibited exceptional attentiveness and a deep knowledge of the menu. It felt as if they could read my mind in suggesting the perfect dishes.

The food at Sa-Nga is a testament to the chef's creativity and expertise. The presentation of each dish was elegant and left me in awe. I was particularly impressed by the dishes I ordered:

-3 Oysters with Granita: The presentation of this dish was as beautiful as the flavors. The taste was exquisite. (Really Recommend this one very exceptional & outstanding!)

-Lamb Loin: This special menu item expertly combined lamb and kao soy sauce, offering a delightful twist on a traditional Northern Thai dish.

Sa-Nga is an incredibly elegant dining experience. It's a small restaurant (about 18 covers) in the exclusive new 5* Centara Reserve hotel. The concept is Thai tapas so the menu comprises a selection of carefully crafted Thai dishes to capture the essence of Thai cuisine.

Everything we tried during our meal was delicious. The fish soups were a true highlight, with the initial presentation offering a smokey theatrical pour of the soup over the smoke infused seafood. Amazing! Between two of us we had 5 dishes which was sufficient for an evening meal.

My wife is Thai, we have both lived and worked in Thailand and we spend a lot of time on Samui, so our opinion may be less enthusiastic than other reviewers. We enjoyed our evening and our meal was good, some dishes very good. Our ‘Wagyu’ beef skewers were disappointing.
