The Hungry Wolf — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

I m oblige to rewrite my review as I have been to the restaurant coupled of time past year or 2. Initially or rather my 1st couple of visits was greeted by a beautiful if my memory serve me right a Bulgarian Lady who's the chef and her touch was near perfect.

However my last few visits including the latest on 26 Aug 2019... things changed now they have thai menu and some wonderful dishes are gone disappeared from menu. So I decided to play safe as my previous visit the food was so bad that I m reluctant to come back again yet after 1 year I was thinking hmm... may be the Bulgarian Lady Chef is back however my 1st bite into the gourmet burger tells me I m dreaming and obviously this burger is not her hand and could be another Burmese cook ...

My advice is skip this and try the Olive Tree Greek Restaurant just few steps away ( I was there to order a lamb Kleftiko and not too bad at all if u r into some western food.

Therefore I revise the rating to 2 star and contemplating to even 1 star. BTW below was my original review on my initial visit.... fyi is no longer valid as far as I m concerned after recent visit.

One of the better burger in the land of smile... Ordered a wagyu beef burger with duck's liver and truffle source + a tuna sashimi salad and it turns out that the medium rare patty was done to perfection. Salad was equally delicious. Considering price point 420 baht for a double, portion (good for 2) and taste standard... one of the best I ever had...

This place will raise your standards for a burger. I'm not just talking about within Thailand but overall. First of all, most other burger places will have their fried oily beef meat dripping into your bun. Hungry Wolf provides a clean excellent patty obviously from some high quality meat sources. Logically, they also provide a scale for you to confirm how well done you want your patty. As a Scandinavian I am very picky when it comes to bread, hands down, this place are getting their buns completely right as well. I am guessing the buns are homemade. Next comes the perfect balance of salad, tomato and onion as well as sauce added. You won't see much of this elsewhere. I had fries on the side, both crispy and tasting great.
